Descrizione
La preparazione tradizionale del caffè turco prevede un meticoloso processo che inizia con la selezione e la macinazione dei chicchi di caffè di alta qualità per garantire la perfetta finezza. Tuttavia, ciò che rende l’esperienza davvero eccezionale è il metodo di preparazione del caffè sulla sabbia. A Istanbul, pentole di rame riscaldate a sabbia appositamente progettate, note come "cezve", vengono riempite con acqua, caffè e zucchero e posizionate su sabbia riscaldata. Questo metodo permette una distribuzione del calore delicata e controllata, esaltando i sapori e gli aromi del caffè. Con il vaso immerso nella sabbia calda, raggiunge gradualmente la temperatura desiderata, ottenendo una birra ricca e saporita. A really wonderful experience.
A really wonderful part of my trip in Istanbul. Not only do they walk you thru the mechanics of making the coffee, but theres history and discussion of the social aspects. If you're at all curious about coffee culture, you should definitely go (bonus points for the reading of coffee grounds).

Awkward
It was like the host didn't want to be there. Had limited knowledge of the coffee, had to be pressed to offer the traditional fortune telling, and I doubt he had any real knowledge of it. No history, no showmanship, no enthusiasm, just awkward. Better to go order a coffee at a cafe and watch them make it.

Authentic Turkish coffee experience ☕
I attended a Turkish coffee workshop and it was a truly authentic and engaging experience. I learned traditional preparation techniques and discovered the history and culture behind this unique drink. The atmosphere was welcoming and the instructors very passionate and helpful. I highly recommend this activity to those who want to live a different and typical moment during the trip!

Who knew coffee could be so much fun?
This was one of our favorite activities in Istanbul. Efe was so much fun. We did not reserve the fortune portion, but Efe was willing to play along, looking in our coffee cups, googling what the images mean, and laughing with us.
