Isola di Milos: un passo indietro nel tempo

Il nostro viaggio inizia da Papafragas o la 'piscina vulcanica' dove ci meraviglieremo per un po 'in questa posizione pittoresca, si può guardare in basso nelle acque turchesi chiare. Phylakopi che è la nostra prossima tappa, qui vi introdurrà questa posizione preistorica. A breve distanza in auto da Phylakopi ci porta al famoso Sarakiniko , l'unico "Paesaggio Lunare". Lo splendido spot è una delle tante meraviglie geologiche dell'isola e forse uno dei luoghi più fotografati delle Cicladi! Prenderemo un muro lungo l'insenatura in modo da poter sperimentare questa spiaggia unica nel suo genere e scattare alcune foto. Da lì viaggeremo verso Plaka e le sue strade acciottolate e vicoli. Nella capitale di Milos avrete il tempo di ammirare la sua architettura tradizionale e la sua splendida vista sul mare dalla veranda di Panagia Korfiatissa. La tappa successiva è l'Anfiteatro Romano in marmo. recentemente restaurato.

Itinerario
Papafragas è un insieme di insenature di acque profonde e grotte marine. Si trova alla base di un burrone incontaminato modellato dall'attività vulcanica.
Phylakopi è un insediamento risalente al Neolitico. Durante gli scavi gli archeologi scoprirono strumenti fatti di ossidiana, un vetro vulcanico simile al granito. Inoltre quello fu il luogo dove fu scoperta la "Signora di Phylakopi".
Sarakiniko è un'insenatura di pure formazioni rocciose bianche scolpite da eruzioni vulcaniche. È un paesaggio unico!
Plaka è una classica Chora delle Cicladi, con case in pietra bianca e buganvillee, situata a 250 metri sul livello del mare.
Situato su un pendio sotto il pittoresco villaggio di Tripiti, il Teatro Antico è un teatro in marmo all'aperto ben conservato, nonostante sia stato leggermente rovinato nel corso degli anni da quando fu costruito per la prima volta in periodo ellenistico. Vanta uno spettacolo fantastico, poiché insieme al teatro e alle vicine catacombe storiche, ti vengono offerte anche viste fantastiche verso il Mar Egeo e il porto del villaggio di Klima.

We got to see the most incredible views of Milos! Kostas was the greatest tour guide! He showed us the hidden treasures and took great care of us. Comfortable air conditioned van, a small amount of walking, customized for our group.
There’s a lot of walking, but the history is great. Sarakiniko Beach is incredible to see. Our driver was very friendly and knew so much about Milos.
Kostas was an amazing guide. He was accommodating of everyone, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about showing us all Milos has to offer. He was easy to talk to and it felt like we were good friends by the end of the tour. He went above and beyond by arranging transportation for me to have a special birthday dinner in Plaka that evening, and suggested both a restaurant and foods to try.
Great tour! Marios took us to some very interesting places. He is very knowledgeable, very friendly, very engaging. One of our best tours of Greece.

West of the Cyclades, apart from the tourist hordes that invade its neighbors, this is Milos. Apart from the geological curiosity of the beach and the cliffs of Sarakiniko, not much to see on this peeled island, fried by the sun and battered by the winds. Ah, yes, of course, this is where French archaeologists found and reunited the two pieces of the famous Venus that sits in the Louvre... Other than that? Well nothing, except the unique charm of small villages like Adamandas or Plaka where white and blue reign, where sipping an ouzo or a Greek coffee under a dais of red bougainvillea contemplating the Mediterranean is an innefable pleasure. Time suddenly stops... To visit in autumn to avoid a merciless sun. The sea is still warm and its waters are still crystal clear. Regular sea and air connections.
