Itinerario
Opzione 1: Per questa opzione, visiterai la montagna n. 1 nel Sichuan occidentale-Monte. Qingcheng. Così come il nome "Mountain with Greens", la montagna è coperta al 98% da foreste per essere una barra di ossigeno naturale. Guideremo per un'ora e mezza dal centro di Chengdu al monte Qingcheng e poi cammineremo per circa 1 ora fino al lago Yuecheng. Visiteremo il tempio Jianfu lungo la strada. Il lago si trova proprio ai piedi del vertice Zhangren ed è stato formato da una sorgente sotterranea. La nebbia sul lago e sui dintorni crea splendide foto al mattino. Dopo quel lago, possiamo prendere il cavo fino al centro della montagna in 10 minuti e poi camminare per altri 40 minuti fino alla cima della montagna, il Palazzo Laojun. Avrai una visione d'insieme dell'intera pianura di Chengdu se il tempo è bello. Alla fine seguiremo la stessa strada per tornare al parcheggio.
Opzione 2: Con questa opzione, puoi visitare la base dei panda, molto meno affollata, a Dujiangyan. C'è una base per panda nel centro di Chengdu, tuttavia, è anche la base per panda più affollata poiché è quella chiusa dal centro di Chengdu. Normalmente devi aspettare ore, non importa quanto presto parti dal tuo hotel. Ci sono sempre centinaia di turisti cinesi che arrivano prima di te (qualcuno raggiunge i panda alle 6:30 per aspettare l'apertura alle 7:30). D'altra parte, Dujiangyan è più fresco del centro di Chengdu poiché si trova su una montagna più alta. Sai, i panda sono più attivi quando fa più freddo. La nostra guida ti mostrerà il parco e ti condividerà tutti i retroscena, come funziona il sistema di irrigazione, come è diventato un progetto di sostentamento da una strategia militare, chi è il fondatore di questo enorme sistema, cosa sono l'antica intelligenza e filosofia cinese, eccetera. Una volta che ti sarai goduto il viaggio, ti accompagneremo al tuo hotel di Chengdu intorno alle 18:00.

Fascinating and educational tour. Incredible to see a water management system that's lasted over 1500 years and is still in use. Plus the pandas were worth the long drive.

We chose this tour together with one visiting the Panda Reserve and the Sanxingdui Museum. Originally, this tour was planned for our second day, but because of an event happening near the museum, the agency suggested swapping the two days. The change worked very smoothly and everything stayed well organised. This tour took us to Mt Qingcheng, an important spiritual center for Taoism, and to the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project. Mt Qingcheng was quite busy, but because of the mist the mountain had a slightly mysterious and atmospheric feeling, which made the visit quite special. The Dujiangyan Irrigation Project was also fascinating, especially when understanding how advanced the engineering was so many centuries ago. Our guide and driver Victor was very informative, spoke excellent English, and everything was punctual and arranged in a very efficient way. We also enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant, where we tried dishes typical of the area, which were all delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about Taoism and the impressive history and engineering of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.

We did the Pandas and then the Irrigation system - a really good combination. The Dujiangyan panda base is quieter than the Breeding centre in Chengdu. Really easy to see the Giant and Red Pandas. The Irrigation system was interesting, lovely views, lots of walking and the Taoist temple was beautiful. Our guide Cora was lovely and driver excellent.
Our family used Real China Travel for our private Chengdu/ Jiuzhaigou tour in July 2025 . Victor is very knowledgeable about the attractions in and around Chengdu. He makes every stop interesting, especially the Dujiangyan irrigation project. It has certainly left us with deeper understanding of the project. This trip was intersting. We had our guide Ora. She could speak English gut. She told us many interesting about different places. Thank you very much Ora. We were with her everywhere the whole day according the programm. After were were very tired but happy that we had order this tour. We have an opinion that it is better to have two days to see those two places. one day is not enough.

Victor is an excellent guide and I highly recommend this trip. I had so many questions and he always knew the answer, whether I was asking about more recent developments or ancient history. There's so way I would have learned so much going to these places on my own and it would have so much less convenient. I'm really glad I did the tour!
