The organizer did not come to the meeting point. There was no contact person there. No contact. Now I would like my money back. Otherwise good experiences with Viator. Let's see what comes of it.
You were notified by Viator of teh tour cancellation in advance. Viator will refund you. Unfortuantely there were very low numbers for this date, and we had no option other than to cancel chris
The start of our tour was very hectic as we couldn’t locate our tour guide in the crowded meeting area. Turns out, our guide was talking to someone and was not even holding up the sign like he was supposed to. After asking multiple people, we finally found him. His “sign” was a single sheet of paper clipped to the passenger list so we still wouldn’t have been able to see it had he held it up! We stopped for photos along the way as described and had a very interesting tour of the Singleton Distillery. The reason for my 3 star review is that for a 7 hour tour, real food was only available at the Cawdor Castle stop where we had to pay 10 GBPs just to access the cafe which was within the Cawdor Castle grounds. As we were only given 1 hour and 30 minutes, we barely had time to eat and use the bathroom before meeting back at the bus. A panini and cheeseburger with no drinks ended up costing us over $50 USD.
Tour company "your shore time" cancelled . Had to figure something else out when we arrived. It cost a little more and hats off to them for making something out of nothing, we used a company with a stand outside of the port called Invergordon bus tours, did a tour of lochness, and Inverness.
Crowded in small van, drove fast, didn’t know time for return so he raced to get back to ship. Had to keep asking for A/C to be on. Not worth the money
We had such a great experience with Neal as our guide. This tour was 100000% worth the value. I don’t know why this had such low stars, it was great if you ask me! We got to see so much, learned a lot about the highlands and the tour was great with timing. I didn’t have high hopes based on what I read but it completely surpassed what I was expecting! Great value for what we did, where we went and what we saw! The cruise offered the same thing for double and triple the price. We brought our 2 kids and they did alright. Favorite part was the castle and the highland cows.
Hi Samira Many thanks. I will certainly pass your comments to Neil the guide. feedback is always appreciated!
Friendly guide, interesting and diverse visit. The only downside is that it is mentioned that the excursion is accessible for people in wheelchairs if the wheelchair is foldable. The problem is that the sites visited are not really accessible for wheelchairs. The person in a wheelchair from our group was absent, and it was fortunate because they would not have been able to visit the distillery and the castle.
Beautiful trip along the coast. Some intriguing and incredible sights were seen. The visit to the rocks was very interesting.
Our tour guide didn’t have much to say throughout the day. He should have given us a lot more information about the local people and culture but instead told us to just enjoy the scenery. The highlight of the trip was going to Loch Ness to try to spot Nessie. We didn’t spot the monster but we did just drive by all the Loch Ness souvenir shops. A ten minute stop at the shops would have been appreciated, instead we stopped for ten minutes to look at a couple of highlight cows that could care less we were there. The singleton distillery was informative and took about a hour. The last stop was a castle which was a waste of time.
When we arrived at the dock early, no one was there from Your Shore Time, the local tour service. We waited for over an hour in the cold and no one showed up. We went to a different tour company and were told as of that morning Your Shore Time had canceled our tour and booked with them, which was a different tour than what we paid for, WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE THE DISTILLERY WHICH WAS THE REASOB WE SELECTED THIS TOUR. The tour was not good and took us to two small towns and dropped us off when there was nothing open in the morning drop off and nothing to do. All in all a VERY BAD experience. The tour guide was rude and not very helpful.
Beautiful tour Unfortunately, the process was changed at short notice without notice, so cawdor Castle was not approached. Castles best booked on site
