Great experience Melanie was very nice and super knowledgeable
Thank you so much for leaving a review! We are so glad you had a great experience and will be sure to pass on your kind words to Mel!!
We had a great half day on the boat. Saw two different groups of humpbacks and a small pod of killer whales. On of the humpback is even breached about 10 feet from the boat we were on and I got it on video. Tour guide. Melanie was highly informative, super friendly and answered all of.our questions. Captain got us out and back safely. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Wow sounds like you guys had a great day out on the water. Getting to see a humpback breach is such a special experience! We will be sure to pass on your compliments to Melanie and the captain. Thank you so much for all the detail, we love to hear it!
We didn't realize we needed to arrive 45 minutes before departure, but fortunately got a courtesy call from the tour group about 15 minutes before the tour left (we had just arrived) and we're thankful they waited for us. It's been my dream to see orcas in the wild and we were lucky enough to see a pod that we followed for most of the tour. The guide and captain were knowledgeable and helped identify the animals. The water was not too choppy and the boat wasn't too crowded as people could stand on the front and the back when we were still or moving slowly and we were able to raise the windows in the main cabin with seating for everyone. We expected colder weather so we over dressed but fortunately brought sunglasses and sunscreen as it remained sunny and warm for our trip. We also brought our own snacks, and they had extra water on board in case. We returned to the dock after 4 hours but the time went by really quickly. Great experience!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us we always love to hear it. We are so glad you got on so well and fulfilled your dream! We will be sure to pass on your kind words to the crew :)
On Saturday, a group of nine of us, all with Welsh blood, had the opportunity to take a trip with Wild Whales. We were incredibly grateful that six of us from Wales were offered the excursion free of charge due to the Welsh football team being eliminated from the World Cup. Wild Whales then gave us the chance to "Watch whales and not Wales in Vancouver" The trip was superb. Although the captain warned us the water could be rough, the conditions were manageable and the experience was fantastic. We were fortunate to spot humpback whales and later a family of seals. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative, which made the trip even more enjoyable. A big thank you to Wild Whales for their generosity and providing such a memorable experience. Highly recommended. Sue Brown
Hi Sue, we are thrilled to hear you all had such a fantastic time with us. Thank you so much for letting us know and giving so much detail on how it was, we really appreciate it!
Wonder day. Edden our guide appears passionate about her beliefs in area conservation. She was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. The entire trip was very scenic.
Thank you so much for the positive review! We're so glad you enjoyed your time on the water.
This was a new and wonderful experience. I loved the naturalist, Trish! She informed the group in multiple small groups lots of information on what we were observing. The boat’s captain did a great job as well.
We are beyond glad you had a great experience with the tour. Thank you so much for the positive review, we really appreciate it!
The trip to see whales exceeded our expectations. We saw all three types of whales it's possible to see on a half day trip from Vancouver. At first a grey whale blowing soon after we started, then numerous humpbacks. And on the way back a pod of Orca - a mum and three of her calves. Sophie was knowledgeable and friendly- the perfect naturalist. I certainly have no hesitation in recommending this trip.
Getting to see three species of whales in one trip is truly so special! Thank you for the great review and we are glad you had a great time out on the water with us!
Amazing experience with a professional and safe company! We saw 6 Orca whales and 2 humpbacks, one of which breeched and we got some photos although not every whale wanted to come out to show us themselves which is fair enough! The boat was clean and safe and had toilets on board, seating and the front viewing platform and rear 2 side viewing areas. The staff and captain were knowledgable and friendly and helped us get the most out of our trip. We got a lovely keepsake Keyring at the end and went home very happy! I never get seasick so I loved the rough bits but I would say if you are a seasick sort of person this may not be for you, however they do have bags and also give you ginger sweets/candy to help so those who did feel unwell were not too bad!!
Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful review of your tour with us. We are thrilled you got to see such an abundance of wildlife and even got to see breaching, which is a super special experience in itself! We hope to see you again soon!
Awesome trip! Highly recommend:) Great for kids.
Hi, thank you for the great feedback! Glad you all enjoyed the experience!
The Wild Whales team is super friendly and the naturalists are experts, they know the sound and the animals like the back of their hand! The zodiac is the best option (if no rain) because you're in small groups and close to the sea level. We got see a pod of killer whales and stayed with them for about 45 min, while maintaining a distance to respect the animals, which is cool! Thanks Wild Whales for this incredible experience!
Hi thanks so much for the feedback! It's great to hear about your experience and so glad you enjoyed every aspect to it!
