The beaches were not better than PV, but the towns were cute. We had an extra day, so decided to do the tour. I would’ve liked to have more time in San Pancho. Water was not offered and there were no surfboards available as mentioned. The driver Giovanni was weaving in and out of traffic and we almost got into 2 accidents. He was also inappropriate and made one of the passengers uncomfortable. Jorge was a great guide and had a lot of good information. It was a good alternative to getting an Uber. Less freedom, but saw more.
The tour was fun, our guide Erick was funny and informative too. We stopped at a couple spots like an Opal jewellery shop and a tequila tasting, but those were fairly short. We had more than enough time to explore Sayulita on our own. We also stopped in San Pancho which was a lovely relaxed town, if anything we would have liked to stay there a bit longer. But all in all, a lovely day trip from PV!
Great service, travel, sites...not a lot of history but a little bit...the driver was very pleasant and helpful...the only thing is driver said there was a mandatory stop at an opal jewelry store...which of course they told us about local opal history but they were nice and did not try to sell us anything...however the vendors on the sayulita beach were relentless...but no fault of the driver's.
Our guide was great- he was very informative, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoyed his job and giving information about the local area. The trip however was not what we had expected. Pick up was at 9.20am from our hotel. We were dropped to another spot where we waited for 40 mins for pickup. We then drove around in a circle looking for two passengers to arrive back to the same spot. They didn’t show up. We arrived to Sayulita at 1.40pm which left us 2 hours in Sayulita as the bus left Sayulita at 4pm. There was a stop off for Tequila tasting which was fun but not needed then an unnecessary stop for silver shopping. We visited San Pancho for 40 mins which was cute. Overall we found the tour too focused on shopping. We are a family of 4 and really wanted to visit Sayulita.
Well organized and learned many things about Sayulita and San Pancho! Highly recommended for first time tourists. You’ll have fun and enjoy Jorge as your tour guide!
What an amazing tour guide Erik is. What a gem, he shared the history of the area. He was considerate of his passengers needs. He made a world of difference with his excellent communication. Thank you for a memorable tour.
This tour was a letdown. We were dropped off about half a mile from downtown, which meant we didn’t even get to see or experience the actual town of Sayulita. Instead, we were basically stuck on the beach the whole time. Sitting under an umbrella was included, but that was about it. Boogie boards were mentioned as part of the tour, yet they were never offered to us. The whole setup felt lazy and unorganized. If you’re looking for more than just sitting on a crowded beach, this isn’t it. And while some people complain about the bus ride, that’s at least something you can check ahead of time on Google—so no surprises there. The real disappointment was the lack of access to the downtown and the missed opportunities to explore what makes Sayulita special. Spend your time and money on something else.
Quaint village town (San Pancho) lovely but rough beach the day of my visit. Only a short visit; Golden Gate Bridge was an attraction. Sayulita was also a small village town but bustling with activity. The beach was lively and beautiful; the food at the beach club restaurant was very good. Very relaxing atmosphere.
A unique experience that culminated with a lovely lunch (w/drinks) on the Sayulita beach. Both towns, San Pancho and Sayulita, are charming Mexican towns. The tequila tasting was fun, and the visit to an opal jewelry store was good (lots of beautiful pieces). The driver and guide were excelente! Realamente disfrute’ el dia!
Too much time on bus. Wasted time stopping at tequila tasting and gem shop. Would not recommend at all
