We all enjoyed the historical perspective of the house, with its furnishings and descriptions. The visit would have been better at night

Don’t purchased self guided tour not worth it. Kids were really disappointed we didn’t even know what we were looking at. You are on your own.

The Whaley House was a good lesson in history for the area. As far as experiencing paranormal activity, when I sat in the first room and the guide started talking, I had full body chills for a few minutes, my lip continued to quiver for several hours. In the main bedroom I was drawn in by a mirror angled perfectly so you see a reflection of a picture hanging, it was a bit puzzling. The home is furnished with beautiful antiques. I was looking at my pictures after and seem to have a dark orb from that room, or is it?

Great guide! Gave us all the details and had an answer to every question. I went mid-morning and the house was empty aside from one other guest, great experience.

It's interesting, but it's just a small museum. If you expect to hear about ghost sightings, you will be disappointed.

This tour was so fun & our guide Oakley was amazing. We learned alot of history of the Whaley family & San Diego. We went a 6:40pm, so it wasn’t too dark for the kids.
