Captain Mike was an amazing guide! He made sure our group found the darkest areas despite the full moon to see the bioluminescence really well. He gave us so much information about the wildlife in the area, the bioluminescence and tips on how to photograph what we were seeing. I had such a good time!
We met Susie and she was a fabulous guide! She helped do all the heavy lifting, helping us use the easy to navigate Kayaks. She successfully led us near dolphins and manatees as well as several interesting birds. It was a fun trip for my grandkids and son’s family and Susie was fantastic!
It warms our hearts to read your kind words about our tours and our wonderful guide Susie. What a fantastic way to spend time with loved ones! ❤️
I was the only guest for a noon paddle recently. The weather was perfect, Captain Mike and guide-in-training Nick were the perfect pair for me! I learned so MUCH about the wildlife and ecosystem at hand. The Captain had me tracking manatees and licking mangrove leaves before the tour was over. A super value for the experience, the company was easy, the laughter genuine, and altogether, it was a lovely experience. Would recommend!
Here’s a polished and warm response you can use 💙 💬 Response: Thank you so much for such a wonderful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a memorable solo paddle experience and that Captain Mike and Nick made it both fun and educational. It’s great to know you enjoyed learning about the wildlife and ecosystem—and even got to experience a few unique moments along the way! We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back out on the water again soon! 🚣♀️💙
Captain Mike was wonderful. He shared his knowledge of the animals and plants of the area. We were there after historical cold weather resulting in the Manatee’s not being on the area. BUT, we were treated to seeing dolphins and having them swim right up close to our Kayaks. It was wonderful. We had a lovely time! Thank you Cricket and Captain Mike!
How amazing that you had a close encounter with those magical dolphins! 🐬 Thank you for your kind words! We’ll be sure to let Cricket and Captain Mike know you enjoyed your tours with them! 💚
Thanks to Suzy we’ve had a wonderful time exploring the Indian River Mangroves!!! We saw a Dolphin, many Pelicans and Osprey.
Wonderful! Happy to know you enjoyed your time with Susie! She is a pro at finding our local wildlife and always happy to guide the mangrove tunnel exploration!
Had a wonderful time with Captain Mike! Super knowledgeable on the local plants and animals and was great keeping our whole group engaged.
An absolute must do for anyone visiting the area! Communication was great and I felt fully informed through the whole process, the group size was great too, just us and another family. The actual kayaking was amazing, our guide Michael was just so lovely especially with our little one and super knowledgeable. Michael based our route on what the nature around us was doing, it never felt rushed or like we were just going through the motions. We were lucky to spend so much time watching dolphins fishing, a manatee popped up right next to us, and we caught comb jellies! We would absolutely do it again next time we’re in the area
Wow, this review made our day! We’re so glad you had such a magical experience on the water! Michael is an absolute gem, especially when it comes to making the tour fun and thoughtful for all ages. Tailoring the route to the rhythm of nature is what it's all about and it sounds like the dolphins, manatee, and comb jellies all showed up to say hello! 💙 Thanks for the kind words, and we can’t wait to paddle with you again next time you're in town!
Mike was our guide and was awesome! He was very knowledgable about the wildlife that we saw. I highly recommend this tour!
Aloha! Thank you so much for your kind words and your recommendation! We agree, Mike is awesome! Come back soon for another Cocoa Kayaking adventure!
This tour was cancelled an hour before we were meant to attend, we had already spend money on an hotel. this was their reason, an hour before. " We are working from the information provided by the event coordinators. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge was reduced to 8 employees as their funding was cut earlier this year. Their systems and operations only work as quickly as 8 people running 140,000 acres of refuge can" It didn't really make sense to us. why there didn't know this in advance. But we got a full refund.
The cancellation was due to unexpected operational restrictions from the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, which unfortunately only became clear to us the morning of your scheduled tour. While we work closely with the refuge and do our best to stay informed, the staffing shortage and communication delays—due to significant budget cuts—can sometimes mean we're informed later than we’d like, despite our best efforts. We completely understand how this could be confusing, and we truly wish we had more control over the timing. We tried our best to contact you via phone call/text/email at 7:32 am but was unsuccessful due to your typo when entering your phone number during your online booking process. A rebooking to another tour was offered by the receptionist, however they were hung up on before any accommodations could be made. A full refund was given to your party.
We had an amazing time with Susie and Jeff with Cocoa Kayaking. They possess a wealth of knowledge about the animals and plants of the area and were very kind to take pictures of our family enjoying the tour. We were lucky to see a few dolphins swimming in the lagoon/channel area. Highly recommend their company!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing time with Susie and Jeff! Spotting dolphins is always a magical bonus, and we're glad you got to experience that! Thanks again for choosing Cocoa Kayaking—we’d love to paddle with you again anytime!
