We had 2 mistakes associated with our reservation-- first the company thought it was for the month ahead... and then on the correct day, no one showed up, though the company did work quickly to get us a good guide (after waiting...) Our guide did a good job, we visited the sites in the city that were advertised. I did feel that we were shorted a bit, as it started late, and we asked to skip one site that we had already visited. Highlights: the top floor of an art museum to see the city from on high, and the city market. Most of the tour was driving by points of interest. The slow traffic in spots didn't faze us; we're from S. CA and are used to constant traffic. Would have appreciated a few "off the beaten path" or special places to see. That said, we saw a LOT of the city, and got a tour of the primary sites and areas of the city. This allowed us to explore the city on the following day to see a few areas in more depth by walking.

Booked by recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The company have a variety of guides and mine for the day was Netovsky (Neto for short). Communication was great through WhatsApp, with introduction day before and check up to see what my expectations were. The tour was about four and a half hours, though it didn't feel like that. There was no rush and I didn't feel I missed anything either. Pick up the following morning was from the hotel, good clean car, Neto was well presented but not dressed to stand out, which became obvious why when talking. I was warned that yuo needed to be careful and more so in some areas as I would stand out being a rather tall foreigner. But, that said Neto was great and I never felt concerned for my safety despite going through places I would not have travelled alone. Neto was a font of knowledge and yet was also able to keep it feeling friendly and unscripted rather than a tour guide going through the motions. Most places we went a number of people already knew him and what he does, so it sort of makes you feel more local, which was what I wanted. The market experience was one of the highlights, bagging a couple of bargains along the way. I can not recommend Neto highly enough as a guide who has travelled and lives for his passion to travel. My only reservation was the relatively high cost because I was on my own. With two or three people this would have been perfect to share the cost but not feel like a group tour.

A genius, Neto; without him, we would not have known even 1% of this beautiful and overwhelming city. Best hotel of rj nelhor
Great overview of São Paulo— its neighborhoods, attractions, and culture. Our guide Neto was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed his insights as a “Paulista”. Very international and cosmopolitan city with beautiful urban parks. The tour was a good mix of drive by and stops to walk around or take photos. We did the four-hour tour but would have done five if we had more time. We visited during extended layover at GRU airport. Neto met us at a convenient location in town and ended the tour on the side of the city closest to the airport. It was easy to get Uber to and from the airport hotel. We allowed 90 minutes each way given traffic but actual time was about an hour. Next time I transit through GRU I will plan to spend a few days. T
Neto was my São Paulo tour guide and he is a true Paulistano. He picked me up and we started the tour in his car. We started in the Jardins district where my hotel was. I am so glad that he drove, so that I could look at everything. He pointed out many points of interest, dining options, and shopping options. He is a very knowledgeable guide, so I learned a lot about São Paulo ‘s neighborhoods and he answered my questions. My favorite part of the tour was the Mercado Municipal/Mercadao. Neto pointed out all of the neat fruits, coffee, and other gourmet delights that were exceptional in Brazil. All of the merchants I met were so friendly and helpful. I got lots of good gifts for my family here. I had a pastel carne com queijo and a Romeo and Juliet pastel with guava and cheese. It was delicious! I bought a cherimoya there which is the best fruit I’ve ever had. It’s known as a “custard apple” and it’s the bomb! I guess I really love food because this was the most fun part of the tour. I highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting solo, with a significant other, or a small family group.
