I booked this tour months before our cruise and was very satisfied with our tour. We had a driver and a tour guide, which I thought was great. The company understood that we needed an English speaking person and when they didn’t have an English speaking driver, they made sure to find us an English speaking guide. Mae was an outstanding guide and led us on walking tours throughout the city and really gave us a taste of life in Vietnam. Again, we did not feel rushed at all, even though we were over two hours away from our cruise ship, they made sure that we were back in plenty of time to board all the while, making sure we saw all of the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City.
We were delighted to have Khang as our guide for this personal tour of HCMC - the pickup at the port was seamless, he was at all times professional, well-informed, thoughtful & kind. As it was a Sunday our drive into central HCMC was relatively easy, crowds not too bad even though it was quite hot out & about. We really enjoyed our visit to the pagoda, gardens & site seeing around the city. Lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant was very tasty & we enjoyed the vibrancy of the markets. The visit to the War Remnants was very sobering but well done. Our driver was excellent & the vehicle very comfortable. Thanks again Khang for a memorable visit to Saigon.
We visited Ho Chi Minh City from our cruise port on a private tour and it was a fantastic introduction to Vietnam. Our guide, May, was absolutely lovely – warm, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about sharing her country with us. Our driver was also excellent, navigating the famously busy streets with ease. During the tour we visited the Tourist Village, the War Remnants Museum, the old post office and Notre Dame Cathedral. Each stop gave a different perspective on the city and its history, and the War Remnants Museum in particular was very powerful and thought-provoking. We also had a lovely and tasty traditional meal in a local restaurant. Ho Chi Minh City itself is fascinating – energetic, colourful and incredibly lively. The sheer number of motorbikes on the roads is something you have to see to believe! Despite the traffic, everything seemed to move in an organised chaos that was amazing to watch. Overall it was a really enjoyable and insightful day and Vietnam left a strong impression on us.
Our guide JP was a good and considerate guide. He treated us like family and gave us the flexibility to adjust our itinerary based on our taste and time constraint. Such is the advantage of being on an independent tour instead of being on the cruise ship’s excursion. Our lunch was included at a local restaurant which included fried spring rolls. When I mentioned that I avoid fried food, JP managed to have the restaurant substitute fresh mango salad instead. Delicious. Our driver took us back to the port on time and even bought us to fresh coconut from a roadside vendor on d way to the port. It was a treat. Thanks to JP and our driver.
Had an amazing time exploring Saigon with our charismatic guide Binh and driver Minh. The drive felt like mister toads wild ride but we felt safe the whole time. Something about Saigon traffic patterns that confounds me! The private tour was for just the two of us so we liked not being rushed by anyone and getting an accurate historical portrait of what we were looking at. The war museum felt like partial propaganda the commies would throw at their people for the atrocities they commit, but it was easy to see through that. More than anything the architecture of the city was the most compelling part. We recommend this tour to anyone passing through on a cruise or otherwise!
Our private short excursion from Port Phu My to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon), gave us an excellent introduction to this dynamic city, teaming with life. Our guide, Titus, prepared an excellent customized tour based on our input. We got a sense of a Mekong Delta village/farming environment, and then different sections of the city, focusing on our priorities for understanding the cultural background, some of the main areas and sites in the city, together with visiting an important Buddhist temple and discussing Buddhism in Vietnam, and how it affected outlooks on nature and life. Titus’ knowledge and experience with Buddhist philosophy and practices made this an exceptionally valuable discussion. The car was clean and the driver was very simpatico. Titus and this tour are highly recommended.
Excellent service rendered went to different places of interest tour is very fun service well sine
You see a little bit of everything. A very interesting tour and a piece of history. Of all my southeast Asian countries this was by far my favorite. May our tour guide made this trip so memorable and helped us to enjoy every moment. The driver was very safe, the food was delicious, and May gears the tour toward your interests. The Vietnamese people are very kind and gentle you will not be disappointed with this tour. Ps the shopping is off the hook.
Linh is the best! Her professionalism, language, friendliness is second to none. We really enjoyed our time here in Saigon.
An Khang and his driver partner, made our visit to Ho Chi Minh a nice experience, they were waiting for us at the port and taught us the best of the city. Thank you.
