This was the first time surfing experience for our kids(17 and12) and they both loved their lesson with Brian. He was patient and encouraging . When initially surfing conditions were not ideal, Brian still met with us and waited for the winds to abate. We had to reschedule but he worked with us on timings !

We booked our teenage sons for a semi private lesson with Brian and Sean during our family vacation and they had a blast!! They were so excited the first thing they said when they were done is “can we come back again tomorrow?!” Highly recommend! Biggest regret is not also purchasing pictures. They were way further out than I anticipated to take anything clear myself.

During our recent stay in Maui, we booked beginning surf lessons for our 11 and 17 year old daughters. Their instructor Brian was very professional, prompt, gave clear directions and patient instruction. Ukumehame beach was beautiful and the girls had an epic experience! Both were up, balanced and riding manageable waves, all within a first experience lesson! We could hardly belief how fast and well they took to it. My husband and I had a fantastic time during our lesson with Brian! He really tailored to our level and was really accommodating with board rentals the rest of the week. Will definitely be hitting up Soul Surfing next time we are in Maui!

We just returned from our family trip to Maui, and one of the things our girls wanted to do was a surfing lesson while their. We booked with Brian a semi private lesson, and the girls loved it. They where able to get up and ride the waves, and they came having no prior experience at all. Brian was good with them, and he took tones of pictures while out there with them so we would always have the memories to look back at.

This was our first experience with surfing, so honestly, we had low expectations. However, Brian, our instructor, went out of his way to make my two teenage girls feel comfortable, safe and confident! The beach was perfect for beginners and not crowded. We took the 10 am session, which I recommend either that slot, or the earlier slot, to ensure the best ocean conditions! Both girls were not only able to paddle and stand on their boards, but they both caught many great waves! Brian made the experience super enjoyable and provided us with many amazing mamories with the additional purchase of the photo package (highly recommend!). The beach was easy to access and the scenery was breathtaking (as usual for Maui!). We hope to return to Maui this Christmas and will definitely be booking with Brian again!

My family and I were extremely happy with our surfing experience with Brian. He’s a great coach and obviously loves the sport. He’s very knowledgeable and has lots of great tips. We booked with soul surfing Maui as the lessons are a more private experience as it was only the two of us and was decently priced compared to other companies. It gave us lots of 1 on 1 time with the instructor which was a great benefit, as well as having as much surf time as possible. It was super laid back and not rushed giving us time to enjoy the experience . We had lots of fun and learned some new skills!

We had a semi-private lesson for my two kids. Brian was great with the kids, they learned a ton and had an awesome time. Definitely recommend!

Brian was able to accommodate a last minute booking when my boys decided to try surfing on our vacation. After a few minutes of instruction on land, he had my boys (ages 10 and 12) riding their first wave on their first try. Brian was relaxed, encouraging, and knowledgeable. We hope to find ourselves back in Maui for another lesson.
