Il Pichwai è chiamato l'arte di Dio. Gli artisti descrivono gli umori di Dio stesso sulla tela. Pichwai - il nome significa "sfondo", letteralmente erano decorazioni poste come sfondo per l'idolo del Signore Shrinathji (una forma di Lord Krishna). Oggi gli amanti dell'arte di tutto il mondo si rallegrano nel creare questa arte del patrimonio che definisce così magnificamente la cultura del Rajasthan.

We had a great time at this art class! The teacher was very knowledge and helped to guide us throughout the class. Would certainly recommend!
We had a superlative experience today at Colorbox. Our teacher was so patient, helping a “not so artistic” mom and dad, with three kids (12, 10, six) at different skill levels navigate a traditional Pichwai painting. They were flexible, patient, and the end product was actually something we will put on our wall. Highly highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my time at Colorbox Art Academy. Pichwai Painting class was amazing experience as part of my visit to Jaipur. Loved everything - very kind staff, teacher, environment, tea...It helped me to get a real experience of Jaipur art life and meet very nice local people.
