Dashashwamedh Ghat è un ghat principale di Varanasi situato sul fiume Gange nell'Uttar Pradesh. Si trova vicino al Tempio di Vishwanath. Ci sono due leggende indù associate al ghat: secondo una, Brahma lo creò per accogliere Shiva, e in un'altra, Brahma eseguì 10 Ashwamegha Yajna, Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna.
È uno dei due Ghat crematori (l'altro è Manikarnika Ghat). Gli indù provenienti da diversi luoghi portano i cadaveri dei loro parenti all'Harishchandra Ghat per la cremazione. Nella mitologia indù si crede che se una persona viene cremata all'Harishchandra Ghat, quella persona ottiene la salvezza o moksha
La leggenda narra che la dea Durga, dopo aver ucciso i demoni Shumbha-Nishumbha, gettò la sua spada in un fiume (chiamato Assi). Ecco perché questo ghat è stato chiamato così. Anche se l'arte serale invita regolarmente i visitatori, il ghat è particolarmente affollato durante i mesi di chaitya (marzo/aprile) e magh (gennaio/febbraio).

Il tempio Kashi Vishvanath è uno dei templi indù più famosi dedicati al Signore Shiva. Si trova a Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Il tempio si trova sulla sponda occidentale del sacro fiume Gange ed è uno dei dodici Jyotirlinga, il più sacro dei templi di Shivate.

Great itinerary, great guide, fabulous walking pace. Loved the boat ride, and the back alleys, and the morning tea stop, lots of information, and the option to customise your tour if you wanted
Our tour did not happen, we were at the designated pickup point, tried to.contact the tour operator, the phone number doesn't work, could reach tge operator by message or email.
Didn’t show up No contact at all before the tour or even on the day. Didn’t even reply to my several emails on the day. Had to contact Viator support after an hour waiting to get a response and resolution

Mr. Amit has been very helpful to me in Varanasi. In India, where most of the people I talk to are unreliable, I was very lucky to meet someone as sincere and courteous as Amit-san. He also speaks good Japanese, and the deep local stories were very interesting.
This was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend joining it. The Ganges was much cleaner than I expected. In recent years, the Ganges has been cleaned up, and many tourists come to bathe in it. After visiting the ghats, the sunset cruise was very beautiful. I was also able to experience our guide Deepu's excellent Japanese and warm personality. The evening prayer ceremony, Aarti, was also very memorable. Thanks to Deepu, I was able to enjoy the view at my leisure from a special seat. Thank you very much!
Excellent Tour. Very complete. Vinay took me to see all the important places like the Ghats and the Ganges. The ride was wonderful and I had a good time. I recommend it for people who speak Spanish. Thanks for everything.
I was skeptical at first because I had the impression that Indian guides are rip-offs, but he carefully showed me around Varanasi for half a day and even treated me to chai. He spoke fluent Japanese and was a really trustworthy person. Thank you very much.
