I am writing this review after leaving Puerto Maldonado, and the truth is that I cried when saying goodbye to this experience. I think that says more than any five-star review. I traveled alone and did the 3-day, 2-night experience with Jungle Pro. In my group there were two families and I was the only person traveling alone, but during the three days I never felt alone. A large part of that was thanks to our guide, Freddy. He is an incredible guide, with a lot of knowledge and, above all, a true passion for the jungle. He was always making sure that I had seen the animals he found, he adjusted the telescope for me, he taught me how to fish for piranhas, he explained to me how to eat passion fruit, he helped me clean my boots, and during the night walk he made sure that I was okay when he saw that I was scared. I also really enjoyed simply talking with him. We talked not only about the jungle, but also about our lives, which are completely different, about languages, work, family, and how we grew up. I even learned new words in Spanish — I think I will never forget neblina 😂. Meanwhile, Freddy seemed to recognize every sound, every bird, and every movement of the jungle. I saw a little black dot among the trees and he knew exactly what bird it was. It seemed incredible to me. I participated in all the activities, including the night walk and the tower, and I am very happy to have done so. We saw monkeys, capybaras, caimans, spiders, many birds, leaf-cutter ants, and much more. But curiously, some of my favorite memories are the smallest moments: laughing with the guides, watching the ants carrying leaves, learning about their lives, and simply walking through the jungle listening to everything that was around us. I also left with a lot of respect for the guides and for all the staff. I saw how early they get up, how physically demanding their work is, and how much knowledge and passion there is behind what they do. If you come here, talk to your guides, ask them questions, and get to know them as people, not just as someone who provides you with a service. For me, that made the experience much more special. What I didn't expect was how much the jungle was going to change how I felt. I have spent a large part of my life in cities, where life can be demanding and seems to never stop: there is always something to do, something to plan, something to worry about, and something else to resolve. Honestly, I don't remember the last time I felt as relaxed as I did during these three days. In the jungle, suddenly everything seemed very simple: waking up, walking, listening, looking for animals, laughing, eating, and sleeping. For once, I wasn't thinking about the next thing I had to do. I was simply there. For me, being able to feel this way was a true luxury, and it is something I am taking with me. Freddy, thank you for taking such good care of me and for making sure I never felt alone. You are an incredible guide and I loved spending time with you, learning from you, and laughing with you. You said that you were going to miss me… I am going to miss you too. I came to Puerto Maldonado thinking that I was going to meet and see animals. I did not expect that three days would affect me so much. It has been one of the most beautiful and human travel experiences I have ever lived.
we really liked it, incredible nature! Victor is a wonderful guide, very attentive and told a lot of interesting things. We would be happy to come back again
We had an amazing tour of the Amazon jungle with the JunglePro team. From the moment they picked us up at the airport through the next three days, they exceeded our expectations at every turn. Pepe was an outstanding guide who consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Thanks to his knowledge and dedication, we caught piranha, saw caiman, spotted an Amazon tree boa, and experienced so much more of the incredible wildlife the jungle has to offer. The lodges and accommodations were comfortable, well-maintained, and provided a great place to relax after each day’s adventures. If you’re looking for an authentic and memorable Amazon jungle experience, I highly recommend JunglePro. Their team, service, and attention to detail made this a trip we will never forget.
Wonderful trip with brilliant organisation throughout. Kenny our local guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. The food and accommodation at the lodge were excellent and the boats much better than others we saw, with reclining seats and blankets making the early morning trips much more comfortable. Would highly recommended.
Can’t say enough good things about our experience! Everything from the airport pickup, tours, food, educational experiences, airport drop off..everything was more than we expected. Our guide Pepe was so knowledgable and helpful and we thank him a million times for everything! Everyone that had a hand in our experience went above and beyond and we thank you all. Will recommend your excursion to everyone!
We had such a great time on the two night, three day tour! Freddy was out guide and he was so knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. From the moment our flight arrived through the airport drop off, everything was planned meticulously. The activities were amazing - they were well planned and we saw a variety of wildlife and plants and made the most of the quick trip. Food, lodging and service was all excellent - especially considering we were deep in the jungle. The heat and humidity was A LOT if you aren't used to, so prepare to hydrate and bring way more sets of clothes than you think you need!
Pepe was a 10/10 guide, his knowledge of the amazon is top tier. We saw trancula, howler monkeys, capybara, cayman and cqught pyrinna. Be ready for travrl time and walking but expect some of the best guides on the way
This was the highlight of my entire south american trip, the AMAZON, and jungle pro made it every bit worthwhile. Big shout out to PEPE, our guide and the entire team. from the booking, which was a simple confirmation, to the Dos and Donts, everything was organised so well. This was indeed the best way to explore the amazon.
Top experience, full of animals, no jaguar unfortunately. Thanks to VICTOR the G.O.A.T.
Really great trip for our family (8 adults). Pepe, our guide, was great - knowledgeable, relaxed, good sense of humor. We saw tons of wildlife and learned a lot. The accommodations were nice - it was pretty hot, but obviously it's the jungle so that's to be expected. Food was good - always options. I'd recommend especially to nature lovers. Highlights included the night jungle hike, bird watching, and playing cards / hanging out in the lounge.
