SOSTA FACOLTATIVA: Costruita a partire dal 1804 dal re Gia Long e terminata nel 1833 dal re Minh Mang. Quest'area è stata utilizzata come quartiere di vita e di lavoro per i re e i membri della famiglia reale della dinastia Nguyen fino al 1945, ed è stata riconosciuta dall'UNESCO come PATRIMONIO CULTURALE MONDIALE. Questo è un luogo da vedere assolutamente, da non perdere se si viaggia a Hue e amate conoscere la storia del paese e la cultura reale vietnamita.
SOSTA FACOLTATIVA: Situato sulla riva nord del Fiume dei Profumi a circa 3 km dalla Cittadella Imperiale. Ci si può arrivare in barca drago lungo il Fiume dei Profumi, o per chi si sente più energico, un piacevole giro in bicicletta. La Pagoda Thien Mu è considerata il simbolo non ufficiale dell'ex capitale imperiale. Oggi è la casa della Austin Motor Vehicle che ha spinto Thich Quang Duc alla sua auto-immolazione a Saigon nel 1963 in segno di protesta contro il regime di Diem. È ancora sede di molti monaci e un sito sacro visitato da molti ogni giorno.
SOSTA OPZIONALE : La tomba di Minh Mang (nota anche come Minh Menh) chiamata anche Hieu Lang, costruita dall'imperatore Thieu Tri della dinastia Nguyen, si trova sulla montagna Cam Ke, frazione di An Bang, comune di Huong Tho, città di Hue, provincia. Thua Thien Hue, nei pressi dello svincolo di Bang Lang, è la confluenza di due torrenti, Huu Trach e Ta Trach, formando il fiume Profumo, a 12 km dal centro della città di Hue. Il Mausoleo di Minh Mang fu costruito dal 1840 al 1843, quando fu completato, mobilitò fino a diecimila lavoratori e soldati.
SOSTA FACOLTATIVA : Tombe costruite dal 1920 al 1931. Questa è l'unica tomba degli imperatori Nguyen costruita con un'architettura mista di buddismo vietnamita, induismo e romano. Anche questa è l'unica tomba, dove il corpo dell'Imperatore fu posto sotto la sua tomba.
SOSTA FACOLTATIVA : Costruita dal re Tu Duc (1847 - 1883) per se stesso dal 1864 al 1867. Questo era anche il luogo in cui il re Tu Duc a volte viveva e lavorava quando era ancora vivo. L'area della tomba è di circa 12 ettari di cui 2 aree separate: l'area del tempio e l'area della sepoltura.
SOSTA OPZIONALE: Questa è una delle attrazioni più interessanti di Hue, a soli 3 km dal centro della città. Questo è probabilmente il sito più interessante di Hue, ed è troppo spesso trascurato dai visitatori. Fu costruito nel 1830 durante il regno dell'imperatore Minh Mang per organizzare combattimenti annuali tra un elefante e una tigre.
SOSTA OPZIONALE: La collina di Vong Canh era il luogo in cui i re Nguyen sceglievano di riposarsi e visitare la città. Attorno alla collina si trova un sistema di tombe dei re Nguyen come: tomba Dong Khanh, tomba Tu Duc, tomba Thieu Tri, tomba Xuong Tho, palazzo Ba Cung,... Questa era anche una base militare dell'esercito americano durante la guerra del Vietnam, e ci sono ancora alcuni bunker dell'esercito rimasti qui.
SE OPZIONE SCELTA: Facciamo una crociera in dragon boat nel Fiume dei Profumi (Hương River), che ha origine dalla catena montuosa Truong Son Dong. Il corso d'acqua principale è Ta Trach con una lunghezza di 67 km, originato dalla catena del Truong Son Dong, lungo la zona di Bach Ma a nord-ovest, attraverso la città di Nam Dong. Quindi si fonde con il torrente Huu Trach con una lunghezza di 60 km a nord attraverso lo svincolo di Bang Lang. Nel luogo in cui questi due torrenti si incontrano per formare il Fiume dei Profumi.

Took the Hue tour with Duy. He was super helpful in telling us about the Imperial City and the Pagoda. Had an absolutely wonderful time on the trip. There was so much to see and do. Sailing down the Perfume River was amazing. However, The Imperial City was the highlight of the tour and luckily Duy was highly knowledgeable on all the questions that we had. He was very friendly and definitely made the whole experience much better! At the end of the trip he also had some great food recommendations. I would highly recommend booking this trip if you take a trip to Hue. It's a great way to get to see parts of the city and learn lots about it's history.

We enjoyed our time with Linh. She was on time and spoke great English. She gave our teens a good history lesson and sightseeing. She also gave us great recommendations for Bun Bo Hue and went above and beyond. She helped us took great photos also.

Our guide Hung was brilliant - very friendly, helpful and most of all extremely knowledgable about the Hue Citadel, Thien Mu pagoda and the wider history of Vietnam. He explained everything very clearly in perfect English and was able to answer all our questions. My husband was ill during the tour and we really appreciated how patient and helpful Hung was, going more slowly and then helping us to arrange a taxi home for my husband. I would definitely recommend this tour and most of all would recommend Hung as a guide!
This was an excellent tour given by the fantastic guide, Miss and her driver, Han. Her English was superb and the tour was informative. We really enjoyed our afternoon with her.
We did both the Imperial City half day tour and the Three Tombs tour with a driver and guide. We were lucky to have Tai as our guide for both tours. Both days were great! Amazing to see all these sights with such a friendly and knowledgeable guide! So much to see, learn and admire. The tombs are all very unique - set up in similar ways but different with each King’s unique style, taste and influence. Request Tai as your guide, if you can. He is great!
Excellent tour! Our guide, Tai, was very knowledgeable about the Imperial City and Vietnam's history. We were picked up at our hotel right on time, and it was only me & 2 friends on the tour - it felt very private. Tai's English was great & understandable. He's an awesome tour guide and can tell he loves his job. Imperial City history is fascinating. We also visited the Pagoda for about 20 minutes, then took a boat ride on the Perfume River back to the van. I highly recommend this tour...and Tai.
