Super fun and the guide is very knowledgeable and helpful, which makes it a really fun way to get to explore the island!

The staff at Hacienda Flamboyán Tour were very attentive and answered all my questions. My son and I have no experience with horses, but the guide made sure we were safe and comfortable during the tour. We had 2 dogs accompanying us the whole way. It is an unforgettable experience. 100% recommended.

Our guide was very nice and attentive! He made sure we felt comfortable with our horses and would make sure we all stayed in a group if some of the horses wanted to stray away from the path

Overall I would not recommend using this service when actual horse ranches are in the same area and offer the same tours. We had fun until the "incident", but there were multiple red flags / gut feelings that I wish i did not ignore. Red flag #1 - The meeting point is a random entrance to the beach with no signage. We showed up 15 minutes early and there's no signage or information, no horses, so we left and came back to check again and the guide was there with horses. It's a verizon dead zone with no service, so you have to drive away to call/text the host, which we did but never got a response. Red flag #2 - our tour guide's personal horse was misbehaving, bucking, etc. was bleeding from his nose from being handled roughly. Funky way to start the tour. The incident - We had an issue with our horses where one rider fell off, his horse panicked and took off, bumping into the other horses and spooking them into a panic as well. The one lady's horse took off on a full sprint and couldnt be controlled. She received a few scratches from her horse riding through the brush. The panicked horse bumped into my 11yo son's horse, which then in turn panicked and he was half-off the horse hanging on as much as possible and injured his leg. The man who fell was an experienced rider and the tour guide told him he needed to do a better job of controlling his horse??? pretty wild. The man who fell had scrapes / was bleeding on his arm and ankle. Animals can have issues in any setting, but these horses are not well trained enough to be on a leisurely beach stroll with family/kids. The description needs to be updated to include experienced riders only. Description needs to be updated with more specific information about the meet up point. in fact, probably just pass on this and book at the local ranch down the road.

I'll include some pertinent details mostly due to my own ignorance: Firstly, beautiful area and we had an amazing time. My 6 yo son was quite nervous ar first and was riding comfortably within no time. The horses were friendly. The guide is a local and was awesome talking with him. Important*** You need to get the ferry to Vieques if not already staying there. We managed same morning tickets on the 830. The guide waited for us to arrive around 945 instead of the 9 initial start (as 430 was the prior ferry). We had less than 13 spots available when we bought our tickets. You can book ahead and would recommend, but only a small portion available for online booking. You will also need to pay for parking at ferry terminal. **Carry only what you want to carry on the horseback ride. I had a backpack full of our stuff and would have probably done that a bit different. You will get knees down wet. I had sandals but you can go barefoot (still need to store shoes) but also be conscious of shorts as they can rub on saddles. **Bring snacks and water (we did, but not provided) **plan your return ahead as well. You can go around the town which has several stops for food/drinks/coffee or purchasing souvenirs. All that said, I would highly recommend and planning isn't super stressful if you do plan.

Super fun tour! Eliam was super friendly and such a good tour guide. We got to see such beautiful places of the island. Highly recommend!

We had a great time riding horses through the roads and the water! We had a group of seven, ranging from age 7 to 65, and everyone had a wonderful time. Our guides were great—even took photos for us! They even helped us with transportation. Highly recommend!

It is so fun!! If you are thinking about doing this just do it!! Great experience! I’ve been on many horse riding tours and this one tops it off! Our guide was amazing! The horses were great! Our tour guide came with two beautiful dogs that guarded us through out the entire tour! Would definitely do this again!! Highly! Highly! Recommend!

We got to all ride horses (ages 11 and 8). Went thru the water, down the beach and thru some trails. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Made it a really great experience. Even gave us a recommendation for other trips and we book something else because of them. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing horseback riding experience in Vieques! The tour guides were incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive throughout the entire ride. They constantly checked in on everyone to make sure we felt comfortable and confident, especially when riding through different terrains and into the water. We were probably asking for pictures every few minutes, and they were always happy to help without hesitation. They made sure we got plenty of great photos and memories from the experience. The horses were gentle, well-behaved, and clearly well cared for, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Along the way, the guides shared interesting information about the island, its history, and the surrounding area. One of the highlights was riding the horses into the ocean, where we were lucky enough to spot a stingray swimming nearby! It was such a unique and unforgettable experience. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the entire tour felt relaxed, safe, and well organized. If you’re visiting Vieques, I highly recommend this horseback riding tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely do it again!
