This was our second choice but very glad we did this. This cruise was very senior/elderly friendly and made safe accommodations for a wheelchair user to both board and disembark. Bottom deck was spacious with seating directly in sunlight and in shade, including spaces for wheelchair users. Toilets had 3 stalls for women. A little cafe for drinks and snacks. Topside was also very nice, no shortage of good views no matter where you sat. The guide was very informative. You could tip at the end of the journey, which was Greenwich, where everyone had to disembark for about 35 minutes.
Waiting lines & boarding take longer then the actual tour
In frequent departures. Far too long a wait, nearly an hour, to get on boat with no shade provided. Inaudible commentary. No shade on upper deck. No information about schedule provided on Viator website. We should have chosen a different cruise option.
We absolutely loved this experience, the weather was beautiful on the top deck. we stayed on for the entire length of the trip to Greenwich and then returned 2 hours later. The guide on board was funny, engaging and informative. I would absolutely recommend as we only paid £8 each. Amazing value - Recommended.
Enjoyed cruising the Thames. But overall not convenient way to get around as boats take a long time for boarding, docking, and disembarking. A lot of waiting around. And with several cancelled boat times, it got overcrowded. Bus might be better.
Overall a good experience and a nice way to see the city. On our visit several of the marked stops were temporarily blocked or changed due to street repair, etc. It would have been nice if the app would have been updated to reflect those anomalies.
Beautiful way to see the sights of London! Crew was amazing, made the whole experience a pleasure!!!
While our outbound journey from Tower Pier to Greenwich went smoothly, the return trip revealed a severe lack of operational coordination, scheduling reliability, and internal communication. If you are relying on this service for timed transit, be aware of several critical failure points we experienced: Unannounced Schedule Changes: The frequency of return ships was reduced without any prior notice to passengers. When a ship was finally scheduled to arrive, a promised "10-minute delay" stretched into a full hour. On-site pier staff had no information regarding the cause of the delay or when a vessel would arrive. Contradictory Instructions (Pier vs. Crew): There is a clear disconnect between land-based pier staff and the ship crews. When we finally boarded, pier staff informed us the boat would bypass Tower Pier and go straight to Westminster. They explicitly assured us we could stay on the vessel at Westminster and ride it back to Tower Pier. However, upon docking at Westminster, the ship crew contradicted this entirely, terminating the service and ordering everyone off the boat. Total Lack of Customer Updates: After being forced off at Westminster, pier staff told us to wait 30 minutes for the next ship. We waited over 70 minutes with absolutely no sign of a vessel and zero proactive communication or updates from the staff on the dock. Ultimately, the service became entirely non-viable, forcing us to abandon our river tickets and pay for the Tube to get back. The physical vessels are fine, but the management, real-time scheduling, and cross-staff communication are highly unreliable. If you have a schedule to keep, you may want to look for alternative transport.
Guides and driver were helpful, informative and very entertaining. We enjoyed it completely. Book this tour
The book ride had lots to see along the Thames River. The commentary provided by one of the crew men was interesting and we were able to hear it.
