Danny, our guide, was highly informative and affable. He encouraged questions, adjusted our visit to match what we were curious about, and went out of his way to point out aspects of the building in addition to the highlights of the museum’s various exhibits. In addition, Danny’s passion for history and deep knowledge of both England’s stories and the layout of the museum meant that he took us to exhibits in the museum and told us stories that we never would have found on our own. Danny was incredibly generous with his time. We left the British Museum having learned so much and feeling that our visit was as much of a treasure as the exhibits Danny showed us. Well worth it!
We only had a short bit of time and this was worth the cost. The guide was fantastic, he provided amazing information, he got us to all of the really great places in the BM; amazing tour!?!?
Outstanding guide which makes all the difference in this busy museum. Our guide was and archeologist who also worked as a guide, amazingly well informed about history and the museum.
Very fast overview of the British Museum, but highly informative. Jack was super knowledgeable and excited about the exhibits. Highly recommend especially if you’re time limited.
The British Museum is so so dense. I mean, where else can you see the Elgin Marbles, mummies and the Rosetta stone? Jack at Bespoke Britain curated the private tour for myself, my husband and my 14 year old daughter. It was the best day we had in London (aside from theater). Hey was enthusiastic, engaging, and dedicated to what we wanted to see. If I had tackled this on my own, we never would have left with the depth of appreciation that Jack provided. Do yourself a favor and just book this, or any other tour with his company. They are excellent!
Jack was fantastic! Only regret is not booking a longer tour so Jack could share even more knowledge. We were able to share what we absolutely wanted to see before the tour so Jack could tailor the tour to make sure we hit the highlights and more. We highly recommend the tour to everyone. The museum is huge and having a guide was extremely helpful!

Jack was spectacular. Literally the most knowledgeable tour guide I have travelled with. I’m a history major and wanted an in-depth experience for me and my boys. He was full of history and also patience for 2 young boys. We did Westminster, food tour of a market, Churchill war rooms and british museum with him. Here is my advice: contact Jack when booking your trip immediately and have him be with you every single day for whatever tours he offers in and out of London. I wish there were 10 stars to give him instead of just 5.
Wow, wow, wow…… a tour of the British museum with Jack was absolutely outstanding. Let’s get it right most things in museums are from a by-gone era a long long time ago, but with Jack it’s as almost has if he was able to bring everything back to life. His passion shines through like a beacon of light for this wonderful museum. Thanks Jack you sir are a legend
Jon was an amazing tour guide and he fully understood our preference for a "highlights" tour of this massive museum. He knows the museum layout very well, and we were able to see many remarkable exhibits during our tour. He asked, in advance, what we wanted to focus on, and he took it from there. We very much enjoyed his narration and his extensive knowledge of the museum's holdings and the history of the pieces we viewed. What a pleasure to have such an informed and expert guide for our visit! We recommend asking for Jon - he is a joy to spend time with.
