In questo meraviglioso villaggio conoscerete i metodi ancestrali utilizzati dalla comunità per tingere con pigmenti naturali i propri indumenti e tappeti di lana. Conoscerete anche i loro metodi ancestrali di produzione dei tessuti di lana fatti a mano e visiterete la loro galleria dove sono esposte tutte le opere d'arte che realizzano e vi spiegheranno passo dopo passo ogni dettaglio dei loro metodi. Sempre in questo villaggio visiteremo un laboratorio di "candele di conchiglia", realizzate con cera madre d'api, e vi racconteranno gli usi e i costumi della lavorazione di queste candele.
La guida vi racconterà la storia del maestoso albero di tule, che ha più di 2000 anni ed è uno degli alberi più alti e larghi del mondo. Poiché questa è la prima tappa e non avete avuto tempo per la colazione, le signore del posto vengono qui a vendere tamales, atoles e tacos di stufato, quindi potrete sicuramente mangiare qualcosa prima di proseguire verso il punto successivo.
Potrete ammirare le sue piscine naturali e le cascate pietrificate. Potrete anche nuotare e fare escursioni con le guide locali, che offrono una mancia volontaria all'arrivo all'ingresso dell'unità. Si dice che nel 200 d.C. gli zapotechi iniziarono a insediarsi in questo sito e a manifestare la loro devozione per i morti, che all'epoca era conosciuto come il "luogo di riposo" dei defunti.
Ci fermeremo per il pranzo in un buffet di cibo tradizionale dove potrete mangiare diversi tipi di moles, tortillas fatte a mano dal comal, carni alla griglia, diversi tipi di pasta, insalate e dolci oaxacani.
E per chiudere in bellezza. Imparerete il processo di produzione del mezcal, il maestro mescalero vi spiegherà il tipo di piante di agave che pianta e raccoglie. Vi condurrà anche nella sua fabbrica, dove si svolge il processo di distillazione e lavorazione. Alla fine del tour della fabbrica, concluderemo con una degustazione gratuita senza costi aggiuntivi di mezcal ancestrale, mezcal stagionato, creme di mezcal e mezcal artigianale.

It was a very good trip and the guide was very knowledgeable and organized. I recommend it for anyone who wants to go to these destinations. We had no issues for the whole tour and we even got free mezcal tasting, free bread tasting, and free chocolate tasting.

We did the walk and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was very well organized, but what really made the difference was the coordinator of the ride. Since we were picked up we felt in good hands: the coordinator was punctual, friendly and very helpful. He always kept an eye on everyone being comfortable and explained clearly the itinerary of the day, the ground conditions and the schedules to follow. The tour coordinator took the time to tell us the history of the place, interesting facts of the local environment and culture, and answered all our questions enthusiastically. You rating that he knows the area very well and is passionate about what he does, which made the ride not only beautiful visually, but also culturally enriching.
