Michael was an outstanding tour guide! He was super knowledgeable and had a ton of information. You can truly tell he’s super passionate about the culture and biking! Would definitely book again.
Highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto. Michael walked us through the history, culture, and spiritual aspects of Japan in an interesting and accessible manner. The bike ride itself is phenomenal as you ride through the beautiful, quiet back neighborhoods of Kyoto stopping at shrines, temples, and a tea house along the way. The bikes are top quality, easy to navigate and super fun to ride. Arigato Michael!!

We spent a wonderful morning with Shawn on a private e-bike tour around the hidden sights of Kyoto. Despite the sweltering heat, we saw fascinating, calm temples (where we were sometimes the only visitors), learned a lot, and experienced a side of Kyoto we would never have seen on our own. Was not experience worth the money.
Thank you for sharing and we do understand your frustration. We are sorry the tour did not work out on the day. However, we do want to clarify what happened. Our guide was at the meeting point as scheduled, and we did speak with you by phone that morning. Unfortunately, you were in a completely different part of the city at the time, which made it impossible for the tour to proceed. You then proceeded to claim that our guide did not show up on Viator to get a refund. We feel that that is important to address. We always do our best to accommodate our guests, but there is very little we can do when someone is not at the correct location at departure time. We appreciate you understanding our position.
A thrilling bike ride across Kyoto hills and forests of and the insightful visits to the temples and shrines was a perfect combination. Definitely recommend this tour for an authentic way to explore this beautiful city
