Hermanus e Overberg Birdwatching

Descrizione

I went on a half-day birding tour with Dave de Beer in the Overberg and it was an incredible experience. We saw so many beautiful birds – including the blue crane (the national bird of South Africa) and endemics like the Cape sugarbird, plus plenty of shorebirds like African oystercatchers. Even though it was a birding tour, we also managed to spot some whales from shore! Dave is very knowledgeable about both birds and whales and is an excellent guide. On top of that, he is an exceptionally talented photography – he has a lovely gallery with some beautiful photos at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend doing a tour with him if you are in Hermanus!
Thank you for that wonderful review - Dave strives to make sure each guest’s experience is special.
Dave is such an interesting offer guy who immediately makes you feel very welcome. He clearly has a real love and passion for nature and photography. We spent a wonderful morning birdwatching and getting an oversight of Hermanus and its beautiful surroundings. He was patient and showed us some sights that we wouldn’t normally have seen. Would highly recommend Dave to anyone interested in birds or whales of this stunning part of SA
On behalf of Dave, thank you for your kind words. Dave's unwavering passion for Whales and Nature is very special indeed. Safe travels onwards.
We had an amazing tour seeing about 50 species in at least four different landscapes. We were mega impressed with the customer service and attention to personal detail.
Thank you Bethany. Dave is a Nature Nut, as you experienced and he strives to offer guests a thoroughly enjoyable excursion every time.
I booked a morning birding tour with Dave. Nikki, who managed the bookings, was excellent and responds instantly to queries and questions. I mentioned that I had dipped on the Cape Rockjumper on previous locations. Dave took a detour and it was my first bird of the day. What a cracking bird?!! Dave is passionate about birds and whales, and generously shares his knowledge with enthusiasm. He has many birding stories and knows the art of storytelling. After a long morning birding, we spent the afternoon whale watching. It was a wonderful day, thanks to Dave and Nikki.
The bird watching trip with Dave de Beer was a highlight of our two week trip to South Africa. His knowledge of the landscape, places, and birds was exceptional. The route we went showed us lots of different habitats and species. We were also lucky enough to see a whale from the shore. Such a delight to meet someone who is so passionate about the environment.
Dave de Beer knowledge and enthusiasm for subject is endless for birding and wildlife in genera Went over and above
