Itinerario
Poco dopo il pick up guideremo lungo la M5 e ci collegheremo con la M4 attraverso le spiagge di Muizenberg, St. James e Fish Hoek situate lungo la pittoresca costa di False Bay sulla strada per la colonia di pinguini di Boulder's Beach.
Passando attraverso la spiaggia di Muizenberg vedremo il tratto di attraenti capanne colorate in lontananza. Le capanne sulla spiaggia assomigliano alle "macchine da bagno" del 1800, una struttura simile a un carrello che è stata spostata fino al bordo dell'acqua, consentendo alle donne di cambiare il loro abbigliamento da bagno mento a caviglia e divertirsi nelle acque poco profonde. Le capanne sulla spiaggia vengono successivamente utilizzate come spogliatoi per bagnanti e amanti del surf.
Proprio come le loro controparti, le capanne Beach che possono essere viste qui a St. James Beach sono utilizzate anche dai bagnanti come spogliatoi. La colonia di pinguini di Boulder è la patria di circa 3000 pinguini africani che trascorrono le loro giornate a divertirsi nelle acque della False Bay, crogiolandosi al sole e sfilando sui massi di granito.
Dopo l'incontro con gli affascinanti pinguini africani, procediamo verso quello che è sicuramente il momento clou della giornata: il Capo di Buona Speranza e la Riserva Naturale di Cape Point. Si ritiene che nessuna visita a Città del Capo sia completa senza una foto dietro al tabellone del Capo di Buona Speranza. Esploreremo la riserva naturale mentre la guida del tour condivide storie storiche sui beacon Bartholomew Dias e Vasco Da Gama. Il Capo di Buona Speranza ospita molti animali e una flora come i fynbos (cespuglio fine), oltre 250 specie di uccelli tra cui struzzi, cervo, babbuini e zebra di montagna del Capo. Consigliamo ai nostri ospiti di essere vigili e di non avvicinarsi troppo agli animali selvatici nella riserva perché possono diventare violenti. Non è consentito alcun contatto ravvicinato o alimentazione.
Dopo aver esplorato il Capo di Buona Speranza, ci dirigeremo verso Cape Point, dove i visitatori sono liberi di fare una breve escursione fino al faro di Cape Point o di prendere l'opzione della funicolare Flying Dutchman (a pagamento). Molti credono che Cape Point sia il punto d'incontro dei Due Oceani. Tuttavia, Cape Point è di fatto il punto di incontro ufficiale delle due correnti oceaniche: le correnti oceaniche Cold Benguela e Warm Agulhas. Il faro di Cape Point è il più potente della costa sudafricana.

This was a great day trip. We saw penguins, Cape of Good Hope, took a quick hike, baboons and ostriches. The drive was beautiful. Our guide Ray was great too!
