Innamorati di una delle città più impressionanti della regione settentrionale. Guimarães è orgogliosamente la culla della nazionalità, poiché nel lontano XII secolo, qui abbiamo ottenuto l'indipendenza dal regno di León, essendo stata istituita come capitale della Contea Portucalense. Da allora, la città ha mantenuto le sue mura difensive, castello, borgo e quartieri operai / contadini fino al XIX secolo. Ancora oggi possiamo meravigliarci della sua genesi medievale, con le piazzette e le stradine strette, oltre ad ammirare i grandi monumenti e il patrimonio culturale presenti in ogni angolo della città. In questa visita esploreremo l’intera area dentro e fuori le mura, toccando punti di interesse e curiosità. Saliamo anche in auto fino al punto più alto nei dintorni per avere il più grande punto turistico e scoprire alcune gemme nascoste. Se optate per la visita al tramonto / notte, sarete abbagliati con l'atmosfera, i fulmini e la vista della città!

Palazzo del XV secolo. Uno dei monumenti più visitati della regione nord, e tuttora una delle residenze ufficiali della presidenza. L'ingresso è facoltativo.
Castello medievale con fondazione sul X secolo. Visita sui dintorni e all'interno.
Chiesa del X secolo. La costruzione più antica della città. L'ingresso è facoltativo.
Strada pedonale. È uno dei più belli e antichi della città. Pieno di dettagli e gemme nascoste.
Patrimonio del trattamento della pelle per l'artigianato calzaturiero. Visita alle strutture di manodopera e alle vasche di granito che funzionavano come concerie.
Una delle chiese più belle della città! L'ingresso è facoltativo.
Penha Park domina la città, e offre una magnifica vista con una portata impressionante di circa 40 miglia. È anche sede di diverse taverne e luoghi di culto tra la gente del posto.

Great tour. Smooth and short. Plenty of time for shopping. Pick up and drip off smooth. Recommend to book.
We had such a great day seeing Guimaraes and Braga. Both cities were very interesting and beautiful. After coming from a few days in Porto it was nice not having such steep inclines to walk. Ricardo was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, informative and patient as we tend to wonder off a bit. He has a good sense of humor and is very personable. We learned a lot about Portugal and got a good history base to build on.
Anyone who loves visiting Portugal MUST visit Guimaraes to know how Portugal came to be. Our guide Ricardo was very pleasant, wonderful and gave very detailed history of this region and made a very pleasant walking itinerary to see all the highlights. A very beautiful little town and MUST SEE. Here Portugal was born!! ❤️

Bruno picked us up at our Porto hotel on time - and we were off! We picked up 2 others in Braga - 2 others from the US. The tour was awesome - while Bruno’s expertise is the national parks he was well versed on the history of Guimares as well as Braga - another historical city we asked if could be included. It was just a great way to see two important cities in the history of Portugal. Thank you Bruno!

Guimaraes should be on everyone's list of places to visit in Portugal. The birthplace of Portugal 's fortress and palace are Interesting views into Portugal's beginning. The stone outcropping s add drama to the terrain. The visit was a treat.
