La collina di Ouen-Toro sorge di fronte a questo punto roccioso. Una strada percorre la lunghezza del parco comunale e conduce alla cima alta 128 metri che domina la laguna. È sormontato da due superbi cannoni, installati dall'esercito australiano nel 1940. Da lassù puoi ammirare una vista ineguagliabile su Noumea e sulla sua regione circostante. Tornando giù, la strada intorno alla collina offre spesso molte viste molto interessanti sui vari lati della città. A sud, vedrai appena sotto di te gli hotel Méridien e Château Royal, delimitati dalla spiaggia di Château Royal, così come dalla spiaggia di Anse Vata e, più lontano, le isole, l'Île aux Canards e l'Îlot Maître. Continuando verso ovest, le due baie, Baie des Citrons e Baie de l'Orphelinat si estendono. A nord si possono vedere i quartieri residenziali, come Val Plaisance, Motor Pool, Receiving e N’Géa. Infine, ad est si trovano la baia di Sainte-Marie e le sue isolette. Le montagne del Mont-Dore e le colline del Grande Sud della Nuova Caledonia, il Grand Sud, sono visibili in lontananza.
Tra due grandi rocce, il Rocher César verso la punta Magnin e il famoso Rocher à la voile, sul lato della baia di limone, Anse Vata è uno dei principali luoghi turistici di Nouméa. Sul lato est, un percorso pedonale corre lungo la lunga spiaggia, il lungomare Roger-Laroque, con molti hotel, ristoranti, bar, negozi e locali notturni.

Precedentemente sede di diverse attività industriali tra cui la fusione del nichel nei laboratori di Chaleix, la Baia di Orphelinat è oggi principalmente una bella zona residenziale che comprende anche South Port Marina. Il lungomare è stato recentemente convertito in una pista pedonale e ciclabile fiancheggiata da palme per gli atleti e le famiglie a visitare le baie. Un altro ricordo della seconda guerra mondiale è un'ancora appartenuta all'esercito americano installato nel paese in questo periodo. Ora si trova nel mezzo della rotonda principale nel quartiere, davanti alla baia, e prese il nome di "crocevia di ancora marina".
Place des Cocotiers (Piazza del Cocco) è, dalla fine del XIX secolo, il cuore della città di Nouméa. Su una superficie di quasi 4 ettari (e 400 metri di lunghezza da est a ovest), la sua vasta spianata con una leggera pendenza è un luogo di incontri, tranquillità e feste durante tutto l'anno.

Good little tour showing the highlights of Noumea. Florence was an absolutely brilliant guide. Very engaging and her English was excellent. Had a great time. Alencia was a great driver.

Quite simple ...we must have booked a tour that no one would want to recommend. It was totally boring, our driver just raved on and the places we went to were unwelcoming. A few of us had to use a toilet.... OMG nothing but filth on the walls and floor, for an Island that has so many tourists how can the locals expect paying tourists to have to use these facilities. Nothing good to say about Port Villa, was over charged for a few items and the lady asked for more money. While being driven around it was most disturbing seeing rubbish piled up in the streets. With so many visiting tourists this was not what we expected. Perhaps Carnival cruise line should investigate the tours they offer. Totally dissatisfied and will not return.

Sorry to say of all the tours we have taken, this was the worst. The guide was not agreeable to putting the 6 of us in one van, although easily doable. Then she spoke almost no English, said very little in general on the entire tour, and provided no value than a drive around the island, which we could have done much easier and cheaper by. ourselves.

Unfortunate timing which can't blame on the tour company as Monday, April 6 was a holiday in Noumea, New Caledonia so much of the city was closed. However, our guide Florence was not well suited to answer questions or understand our questions as her English was extremely poor thereby we didn't learn much about the city and its history.

We just finished our tour of noumea with michael. Michael made us feel comfortable and showed us a few hidden spots, very informational . Can say that it was an amazing tour and a lot of fun!
This tour was very informative and enjoyable! Antoine was the tour guide and I thought he did a fantastic job at explaining relevant NC history and culture. The sites were interesting and the bakery visit made it a fab activity! Would’ve loved the option to tour other parts of the island with this company.
