Shiloh is Costa Rica, he is Pura Vida. He was timely, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and overall just a rad guide. We did a second tour, a kayak tour, with him the following day. Can't recommend him enough! We saw and learned about many many flora and fauna through both tours. He has an expert eye and all the good factoids!
Shailo was incredible!!! He is extremely knowledgeable about every species of plant and knows where all the animals live. We learned sooo much! Plus, he's the sweetest guy ever and really made our trip memorable!! This is your guide, do not hesitate to book him. We have had the best trip of our lives!! Pura vidaaaa!! <3
Today we had the pleasure to have a tour through the Cahuita National Park with Shailo as our guide. He found many beautiful animals and told us anything we'd like to know about the species. Also he made our 10 year old feel really comfortable and took all the time for her. Our 19 year daughter would give him 6 stars if possible. So if your in Cahuita and look for a great guide, dont hesitate to book a tour with Shailo!
Wow! This was a lifechanging experience thanks to Shailo. He gave us a fantastic tour through the park and spotted a large amount of animals of which he could tell of lot of interesting details. Our 19 year old daughter would award him with 6 stars if possible! Thanks again Shailo!
I had the absolute best day with Shailo! I wanted to do the whole trail with a guide instead of only the 2hr tour, and he was happy to accomodate that. We met at the busstation in Puerto Viejo and even before we entered the park, he spotted some very cool (and hidden) animals I would’ve never seen if I would’ve been alone. He is incredibly friendly and we have been laughing the whole day, joking around. At one point it was pouring rain so much, we were soaked and the animals were playing a fair game of hide and seek; and we still had the best time! He still found so many animals and was at the end of the day, just as enthusiastic as the moment we started. We ended the day with some well deserved beers and more laughing. Can absolutely highly recommend going with Shailo on it’s tours! It was one of the best days I had during my trip :)
It was a spontaneous meeting at Cahuita National Park. We had such an amazing day, filled with information about Costa Rica, its wildlife, lots of Spanish words, and typical local Costa Rican expressions. We played games, danced, and had a wonderful time together. The following day, we were invited to enjoy cacao with his family and friends. This was also incredible—we laughed all day and learned so much about all kinds of topics, including nature, food, culture, and especially cacao. We can honestly say that Shailo is a wonderful person: approachable, open-minded, friendly, and great company. We truly enjoyed these two days, and it was all thanks to you!!!!!! Shailo has been an excellent guide. He helped us locate many animals and taught us about them; he also provided us with many interesting facts about the culture of this area of the Caribbean in Costa Rica. Without him, we would have hardly seen any animals in the park, so we left delighted with his tour. I recommend 100%

Shailo did an amazing job and we really enjoyed the tour. He really took his time to explain the flora, fauna and the history of Cahuita and its natural park. Besides that, he answered all our questions with patience and made us all laugh with his sense of humor.

We went on a private tour with Shailo in Cahuita National Park. He was a fantastic guide, easy going, very personalized and catered perfectly to the needs of our family (4year old and a baby) We saw many sloths (8) , 2 of them with babies, iguanas, lizards, fancy birds, tucan , coati and howler monkeys. We had a great time with Shailo and can only recommend a tour with him!😍

Our guide Shailo was amazing! He was so kind, friendly, and so knowledgeable of all things wildlife/fauna. My family and I had such a great time with him during our hike! He was so able to translate things in English for one of our family members which made everyone feel very included. He was able to spot so many beautiful animals and creatures right away!
