La grotta di Postumia, la regina di tutte le grotte, è la grotta più famosa del mondo. È anche la più grande attrazione turistica in Slovenia e uno dei più grandi monumenti carsici del mondo. Questo è l'unico posto al mondo in cui il paesaggio sotterraneo può essere percorso su un treno elettrico e dove si incontra da vicino l'abitante più famoso del regno sotterraneo - il proteo (olm). Il castello di Predjama domina l'area circostante, non lontano dalle grotte di Postumia, nell'idilliaco villaggio di Predjama. Questo castello pittoresco, magnifico, provocatorio, misterioso e inespugnabile è stato arroccato nel mezzo di una scogliera verticale alta 123 metri per oltre 800 anni. Il suo fascino romantico è ulteriormente enfatizzato dall'idilliaco fiume Lokva, che scompare nel mondo sotterraneo in profondità sotto il castello. Essendo l'unico castello di grotte conservato in Europa, il Castello di Predjama offre una visione unica delle tecniche di costruzione e intraprendenza delle persone nel Medioevo, che stavano cercando e trovato un porto sicuro proprio all'ingresso della grotta. Durante un assedio che ebbe luogo nel XV secolo, il castello offrì rifugio al suo più noto e famigerato proprietario, Erazem di Predjama. Fu questa sua dimora sicura che aiutò il coraggioso cavaliere a resistere agli assedianti senza troppe difficoltà per più di un anno.

Absolutely a beautiful experience both the Castle and the cave. Bring a sweater for the cave and lots of walking. Norman was great guide. Tour well organized and the bus was cool and comfortable! Do not miss is in Koper!
The tour was amazing and well organized. The caves and the castle are beautiful. The guide Nika and the bus driver were also very good. Strongly recommend this tour.
The tour guide bought us to the castle just to realize she was supposed take us to the caves first. So we had to rush back to the caves from the castle. Then she told us the wrong time to be back and the other people in the our tour group had to correct her. She wasn't clear on instructions and meeting points. Tells us to meet her somewhere then we find her walking to the bus. No sign no communication. Positive notes* the caves are incredible! The castle was very interesting and the actual tour once you get past the messy logistics was worth the time.

The cave and castle were great and exceeded our expectations. Take a jacket for the train ride in and out of the cave.

my tour was scheduled for 9:00 n May 16th. we showed up at 8:30. we kept checking . Received a phone call but when answered no one was there. All the emails still said the tour was still at 9;00 that morning. The tour left us. He said we didnt answer the phone call so they left early. I have used you in the past and never had any trouble. There was no reason to leave early. I want my money back
This review is inaccurate. We clearly confirmed the 8:30 AM pickup time through the official Viator messaging system one day before the tour, and you replied: “Okay we will be there.” Our guide waited at the cruise terminal and additionally called twice at 8:52 AM and 8:55 AM without any response. The tour did not leave early - you simply did not arrive for the confirmed departure time, and the group could not be delayed further.
Half the price if the cruise ship tour, bus full, well organised the tour guide was very informative
