Il Grey Glacier Boat Tour è l'unica escursione in barca all'interno di Torres del Paine che ti porta attraverso le splendide acque del Lago Grey a bordo della GREY III, offrendoti una vista in prima fila su una delle meraviglie naturali più mozzafiato della Patagonia: il Grey Glacier. Il tuo viaggio inizia con un comodo ritiro dal tuo hotel a Puerto Natales. Una volta arrivati nel parco nazionale, godrete di una passeggiata panoramica di 45 minuti lungo le rive del Lago Grey, circondati da paesaggi mozzafiato. Poi, è il momento di salire a bordo della barca e partire verso il ghiacciaio. Mentre attraverserai il lago, passerai accanto agli iceberg che hanno partorito dal ghiacciaio stesso, ognuno dalla forma unica e incandescente con sfumature di blu. La barca ti porterà proprio vicino all'imponente parete del ghiacciaio, offrendoti il punto di osservazione perfetto per testimoniare la potenza e la bellezza di questo iconico gigante della Patagonia. La nostra Guida verrà a prendervi dal vostro Alloggio a Puerto Natales all'orario previsto. Insieme al resto del gruppo, viaggerete in auto fino all'Hotel Lago Grey, situato all'interno del Parco Nazionale Torres del Paine. Il viaggio dura circa 2 ore e 15 minuti. All'arrivo, il gruppo effettuerà il check-in per il tour in barca e godrà di circa 20 minuti di tempo libero prima dell'imbarco.
Accompagnato dalla tua Guida, farai un breve trasferimento prima di iniziare una passeggiata da 30 a 45 minuti lungo Grey Beach per raggiungere la barca GREY III. Lungo la strada, godrete di una vista panoramica sul Grey Lake e sul paesaggio circostante. **Si prega di notare che gli orari di partenza sono soggetti a disponibilità. Durante l'alta stagione, da ottobre ad aprile, potrete saltare la passeggiata e prendere una barca gestita dall'hotel direttamente al GREY III. Questa opzione dipende dalle condizioni meteorologiche e può essere confermata solo al momento del check-in. Ora è il momento di salpare! La parete del ghiacciaio è solo uno dei punti salienti. Per rendere l'esperienza ancora più piacevole, l'equipaggio ti servirà un pisco sour gratuito o un'altra bevanda a tua scelta a bordo. Alla fine del tour in barca, tornerai al molo e seguirai lo stesso sentiero panoramico per tornare indietro lungo Grey Beach fino all'Hotel Lago Grey. Una volta che il gruppo si è riunito, salirai a bordo della navetta per il viaggio di ritorno a Puerto Natales.

I booked three tours with Howlanders while in Patagonia and, although I was initially skeptical since I had never heard of them, I went ahead based on the reviews here and was pleasantly surprised. I booked directly with them, and they were very easy to communicate with, responding quickly to any questions — excellent communication overall. All tours were exactly as advertised, good value for money, and all three I did were in Torres del Paine. The local agency they partnered with, W Circuit Patagonia, was excellent. When booking, make sure to read the briefing and notes carefully, as they provide details on the itinerary, preparation, and what to bring. You can choose to pay the full amount upfront or split the payment, and they also have a solid cancellation policy that allows a full refund if done within the specified time frame.

One of the best experiences, and a must! The tour operators were not the best in communicating, I had to message them a few times asking them for information, given the cost of the trip, I'd expect more. The rating is still 5 because the actual experience was great and the driver on the day was brilliant very friendly and explained what to expect times and everything we needed to know. He was even giving information and sharing local knowledge, which was a welcomed perk. The glaciers are magnificent! I have not ever seen anything like this so I was blown away.

Beautiful tour, good informative hosts on the boat. Significant lack of instruction to get from drop off spot to boat. It was well over a mile and a half to get to the boat, and no indication that there was a cut off time.
