The tour was very impressive.
Hi there! Thank you for your kind review! We're so glad you found the tour impressive. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Warmly,
The site is not exceptional. No turtles, no sharks, no rays... with poor visibility. The boat is very uncomfortable, the food very summary... The very competent, professional and pleasant staff is the only positive touch.
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the day did not fully meet your expectations. As we operate on the Great Barrier Reef, marine life sightings and underwater visibility can vary from day to day depending on weather, tides, and natural conditions, and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee encounters with turtles, sharks, or rays on every trip. We do appreciate your kind comments about our crew. Our team works very hard to provide a safe, professional, and friendly experience for all guests, and we will certainly pass your feedback on to them. We also value your comments regarding the comfort of the vessel and catering, as guest feedback helps us continue to improve our tours and overall experience. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we wish you all the best for the rest of your travels in Australia. Warmly,
I really wanted to love the snorkeling and see the underwater museum, but unfortunately it’s better suited to more experienced swimmers who don’t get seasick. It is so rough out on the waters to get to the reef, causing so much sickness i couldn't enjoy it. 3 hours to get there and back felt like absolute torture. Travacalm tablets do not work. The boat is small so you feel everything - the seats are not comfortable at all. Everything is wet and one side of the boat gets smashed with water. The food is not a buffet, its just wraps you have to make yourself. I had booked a discover dive but sadly couldn’t bring myself to attempt it because of how unwell I felt, which was really disappointing. That said, I do want to acknowledge the boat staff. They were incredibly kind and supportive throughout.
Dear Emilia, We are very disappointed to hear that you did not have a positive experience on your trip, and we sincerely regret that seasickness prevented you from enjoying the reef and the Museum of Underwater Art as you had hoped. As part of our booking process, on our website, and in our trip status updates, we strongly advise all guests to take seasickness medication prior to travel. Our trips operate in open ocean conditions, and while we aim to select the best possible weather windows, the journey can at times feel rough, particularly for guests who are not accustomed to being at sea. Unfortunately, this is something we cannot fully eliminate, especially on smaller, purpose-built reef vessels that are designed for access to offshore sites rather than cruising comfort. We also note your feedback regarding the vessel, seating, and catering. Our lunch offering is a self-serve wrap-style meal, which is outlined prior to booking, and our boats are working snorkel and dive vessels where exposure to spray and movement is expected in open sea conditions. We understand how disappointing it is to miss out on a planned discover dive due to feeling unwell, and we truly empathise with that frustration. We do appreciate your kind words about our crew, who always do their utmost to support guests, particularly when conditions are challenging. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we are sorry this trip was not the right fit for you, we value your comments and will continue to use them to ensure guests have clear information when deciding whether our experience suits their comfort and expectations. All the best for you from the Adrenalin Snorkel and Dive team.
The tour was awesome and definitely worth it, especially if you want to dive and haven’t before. The beginners dive experience was excellent and would highly recommend it. I had never scuba dived before and our instructor did an incredible job at making sure we felt safe while still making sure we got the best experience.
Dear Kim, thanks so much for your kind words and 5 stars! We're stoked to hear you had an awesome time on tour and that your first dive experience was a great one. Huge shoutout to your instructor — safety and fun go hand-in-hand, and it's brilliant to know you felt supported every step of the way. Hope to see you back for more underwater adventures soon!
the staff was lovely but visibility was low so was unable to see the underwater museum and the coral was not colourful or easy to see, which was disappointing but no fault of the company or a staff. lunch was okay. Did like that they offered a hire of a GoPro..yes to see the photos
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We’re really glad you found the team lovely and still managed to spot a turtle, always a highlight. We’re sorry the visibility wasn’t on our side this time, and we truly appreciate you recognising that Mother Nature has the final say out there. Thank you as well for your thoughts on lunch and the GoPro hire. We hope we can welcome you back again on a clearer day to show you the reef at its best 🌊💙 Warmest regards
Amazing staff + amazing location. Diving and snorkelling - either is worth doing to see the amazing reef and the incredible ocean sentinel art (John Brewer Reef)
Hi Finlay, Thanks a ton for the awesome review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your time out at John Brewer Reef — it really is a stunning spot. Whether diving or snorkelling, we agree: the reef and the Ocean Sentinels sculptures are absolutely worth seeing. Big cheers from the whole crew — hope we get to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
Excellent so professional. Ensured Boone was left behind. Good food and informative crew. Relaxed and chill experience.

Everything was great except the lunch. Food ran out because people piled up their plates and didn’t think of everyone else.
Hi Jaimes, Thank you very much for joining us on your Great Barrier Reef trip and for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the overall experience. We are sorry to hear the lunch service fell short on the day. Your comments are appreciated, and we have shared them with our crew to ensure food is monitored more closely so that everyone has a fair opportunity to enjoy their meal. We hope to welcome you back on board again soon for another day of exploring the Reef under even better conditions.
We started our trip from townsville and had a lovely day. It is a long trip of over 2 hours to the reef but the effort is well worth it. We snorkeled but there were divers on the boat as well. The crew are great and looked after us very well. I highly recommend this experience!
Hi Patricia! Thank you so much for joining us and for your lovely review! We’re so glad to hear you had a great day out on the reef and felt well looked after by our crew. It’s definitely a long ride, but we couldn’t agree more, it’s absolutely worth it once you’re out there! We hope to see you back onboard for another adventure soon! Warmest regards
A must do. By far the most incredible experience there is! Seeing the reef itself was mind blowing but the experience Rob and Matt offered was 5 stars! Learned so much about the reef but they also were spot on with what to expect and how to handle snorkeling. I felt completely comfortable jumping in the water (first time snorkeler) and everything was exactly as they said. Unreal. DO not regret missing out!!!
