La diga di Hoover è una diga ad arco-gravità in cemento situata nel Black Canyon del fiume Colorado, al confine tra gli stati americani del Nevada e dell'Arizona. Costruito tra il 1931 e il 1936, durante la Grande Depressione, fu dedicato il 30 settembre 1935 dal presidente Franklin D. Roosevelt. La sua costruzione fu il risultato di un enorme sforzo che coinvolse migliaia di lavoratori, e costò oltre 100 vite umane. I disegni di legge approvati dal Congresso durante la sua costruzione si riferivano ad essa come diga di Hoover (dal nome del presidente Herbert Hoover), ma l'amministrazione Roosevelt la chiamò diga di Boulder. Nel 1947, il Congresso ripristinò il nome Hoover Dam.

Nice trip. Over priced $199 two locations and a meal. On a big bus seemed like a lot of cost for each person.
