Too bad about the animals thought we'd see more animals
What a fantastic fun museum! We, as 2 over sixty, have enjoyed vd versatility. The combination info and at the same time interactive makes it very attractive. Especially with children a must. They can do tests, climb, hang, play games. Plus, learn a lot. You're sweet here for hours! I would say....book that museum!
A visit to Gothenburg would not be complete without a visit to the popular science centre Universum. Located beside Liseberg it is often busy with families in summer. I have been here with my family several times before. The admission fee is fair based on similar science centres worldwide. Staff are helpeful and friendly and there is alot to see and do. I gave a 3 star for this visit because of the heat inside and accompanying smell of sweaty people. Unsure if the a/c was broken as it wasn’t a particularly hot day either. But it was very unpleasant and made the trip disappointing. Should you visit? Yes if you have time it is worth a visit but be prepared for big crowds during summer. A tip to save money is to buy an evening ticket starting 16:30.
Terrible experience - so crowded, although we only arrived in the afternoon. We walked after half an hour because our son got nothing out of it and couldn't accommodate it because it was a total human-chaos. Can not be recommended and not a place we come back to.
Overcrowded, chaotic, bad signage, exhibitions consist mostly of a whole lot of screens where there is a lot happening you don’t really get caught up with. It was totally chaotic and not to stay anywhere in just a little bit of peace and tranquility and immersion. Everything was chaos, worn and bad experience. I was so disappointed with this experience.
It was so good. We were happy and tired as experience is really rich! Attended all the floors, wisdom and yet we have many things to re-visit. It’s interactive and insightful. Highly recommend!
I was nervous coming here as recent reviews stated how insanely crowded this place was. Luckily it wasn’t bad whatsoever. Enjoyed almost all of the exhibits we saw. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the cost. I think it’s a lot of $$$ to spend for little kiddos.
We are super happy after our visit with our 4-year-old. He really liked the aquarium.
Had greater expectations for this place. There were few animals to see in the rainforest, and I saw only one bird. The layout seemed a little messy, and it was necessary to take an elevator between the floors. I think the place was somewhat opaque and did not live up to expectations. The place had very much fish to see, but other animals were not so much to boast of. I'm probably not going to go here again.
Awful time for my kid who became very sad seeing that lone toucan who had nowhere to fly. This was as horrible for us as it was for the animals. They don’t have enough space, and I don’t wanna keep hearing the excuse that you are saving endangered species. You are depressing these animals. And you are not teaching children anything - everywhere they were screaming and running and knocking on the glass encasement of the animals. Just sad! Didn’t offer much and the animals and fishlife look visibly down.
