Visiteremo il parco nazionale di Thingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, la serra di Friðheimar e la laguna segreta. Il Golden Circle è una tappa obbligata per tutti coloro che vogliono vivere davvero l'Islanda, e la Laguna Scret è il modo perfetto per rilassarsi e godersi l'Islanda. Itinerario
Thingvellir è caratterizzato dalla Rift Valley tettonica e segna la separazione delle placche eurasiatica e nordamericana l'una dall'altra. Nel 930 a Thingvellir fu fondato il Parlamento islandese, la prima democrazia al mondo. Thingvellir è diventato patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO nel 2004. Camminiamo verso la cascata Öxarárfoss.
Sapevi che il nome inglese “geyser”, deriva da quello ed unico della zona di Haukadalur in Islanda? Lo stesso geyser Geysir erutta acqua bollente fino a 70 metri, ma è quasi inattivo. Strokkur, a pochi metri dal Geyser, erutta in media ogni 4 minuti. Faxi è una cascata vicina e ci fermiamo lì.
Vicino a Geysir si trova la bellissima cascata di Gullfoss. Godetevi la vista dall'alto e percorrete il sentiero per avvicinarvi alla potente cascata.
Nella serra di Friðheimar si coltivano pomodori utilizzando il calore geotermico e l'elettricità generata geotermicamente. Con un clima tropicale dentro, hanno aperto un ristorante, proprio lì nel campo di pomodori. L'ingrediente principale del loro menu sono ovviamente i pomodori coltivati lì. Questa è un'esperienza di pranzo molto rara e unica.
Rilassati e rilassati nell'antica piscina locale di Flúðir, chiamata anche la Laguna Segreta.

We had an awesome tour guide for three days and were able to see so much in a short time! This was a private small group tour 7 to 11 people. Our guide Addie was very professional, personable and knowledgeable of Icelandic history and the sites we visited! She was flexible if we needed to spend a bit more time in some places. Guides provide and reinforce safety information to visitors. It's nice to ride and enjoy the scenery a d not have to focus on driving. She had great stories too!! We booked a private tour with the Family and it was a wonderful experience. This is the second time we booked our vacation with this company and the experience was amazing as always. Hopefully next visit we will pick more places to visit and see in Iceland

We enjoyed our tour of amazing sites on the Golden Circle. Helga, our guide, was excellent! She was passionate, friendly, amazingly knowledgeable with an Advanced degree in geology. Ending the day at the secret lagoon was the icing on the cake!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even looked like a Viking! The landscape was spectacular. The geyser did not reach any kind of height, just sort of bubbled and steam blew out, but that is no fault of the tour company. I was with a group of 8 friends, we decided that we did not want to get off at the secret lagoon but wanted to continue on with the rest of the tour and our guide accommodated us.
