Uno straordinario tour di un giorno da Glasgow che ci porta in location di film come Skyfall, Highlander e Harry Potter. Viaggeremo verso Glencoe e la "Road to the Isles", da Fort William a Glenfinnan. Guarda il treno a vapore Jacobite mentre attraversa il viadotto di Glenfinnan (aprile-ottobre), un'icona scozzese famosa per la sua classica ingegneria vittoriana. È anche noto come il "ponte di Harry Potter" che porta il ragazzo mago a Hogwarts

Itinerario
Luss è sulle rive del Loch Lomond. Non solo ci fermeremo qui per un rinfresco mattutino, ma per godere di alcune meravigliose viste sul Loch Lomond. Ben Lomond, il Munro più a sud della Scozia, (montagne alte oltre 3000 piedi) può anche essere visto da qui.
Glencoe è stata la cornice di uno dei periodi più infami della storia scozzese, il massacro di Glencoe che ebbe luogo nel 1692. Lo splendido scenario è una tappa obbligata per i visitatori. Ci fermiamo al Glencoe Visitor Centre per avere il tempo di scoprire di più sulla storia della valle. Il centro ospita anche la turf house dove potrai vedere come doveva essere la vita per la comunità di 500-600 persone che viveva qui nel 17° secolo a Glencoe. Attraverseremo la valle due volte (mattina e sera) e ci fermeremo per scattare foto e ammirare il paesaggio mentre siamo lì.
All'ombra del Ben Nevis si trova la località turistica di Fort William. Percorriamo la città al mattino per unirci alla romantica "Strada per le isole"
Abbiamo un sacco di tempo per visitare Glenfinnan come i panorami qui sono semplicemente spettacolari. Vedrete i 21 archi del maestoso viadotto Glenfinnan curvare attraverso la valle in una scena immortalata come il percorso per Harry Potter’s Hogwarts (dal 2 aprile al 2 ottobre puntiamo a raggiungere il viadotto in tempo per vedere il treno a vapore giacobita attraversare). Il Glenfinnan Monument si trova alla testa del Loch Shiel ed è stato eretto nel 1815, per onorare i giacobiti che hanno combattuto e sono morti nella causa di Bonnie Prince Charlie. Ci sarà anche il tempo di pagare l'ingresso per visitare il monumento, se lo si desidera. (Nota: Il treno a vapore giacobita non funzionerà tra il 1° e il 5 settembre 2025.)
Dopo il viaggio di ritorno attraverso la brughiera di Glencoe & Rannoch, la nostra ultima tappa della serata sarà all'interno del Parco Nazionale di Loch Lomond e Trossachs, dove potrete godervi un rinfresco serale prima del nostro ritorno a Glasgow.

The trip was great, well planned and executed by our driver and fountain of knowledge Karen, each stop was great and the information given along the was was amazing, we had a smaller 16 seater coach which had air conditioning and generally in very good condition, would we do it again 100%
Our driver and guide Keiran was on time, on point, and always happy to answer questions. He drove fast, but safely and got us to all the good stops with enough time to take pictures, have lunch, etc. even took us on a little unplanned stop to see some adorable highland cows after we told him we would like to see them. We got to the steam train with plenty of time to spare and were back before 8 pm, with optional drop off at grand central for those who wanted. All in all, worth every pound and much less hassle than trying to arrange all these stops individually.

Harry our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. Starting with the trivia of Glasgow and highlands trivia. Small tidbits. Highly recommend. The toilet breaks photo breaks , history lessons everything was perfect. Great chap!! Highly recommend Harry and when I say Harry I don’t mean Potter but the tour guide :)

Harry did a terrific job! Great balance between interesting stories/information about what we were seeing and letting us simply enjoy the scenery as we rode. We had a fairly significant traffic delay on our return, but he still got us to all of our stops, and went well out of his way to find a restroom stop.

I like the frequency of the stops to go to the restaurant and restrooms, my body always feels comfortable during the trip The tour guide has so much knowledge of the areas and stop at beautiful locations for pictures. We begin on time and finish on time I feel that my time was very well respected

It was a wonderful experience. We saw some very beautiful landscape that we could not have accessed without a car. The trip was well organised and our guide Kieran was very kind and funny. He even made several stop on the way to help us get good views and pictures of Glencoe and Highland cows.
