Itinerario
Partendo da Glasgow in mattinata, ci spostiamo verso nord, fermandoci per un rinfresco nella città altopiano di Tyndrum, prima di proseguire per Glencoe.
Arriviamo a Glencoe. Il Glen è probabilmente una delle valli più famose della Scozia, ed è protagonista di 'Skyfall' di James Bond; trascorri del tempo immergendoti nell'atmosfera drammatica, oltre a scattare alcune fantastiche foto, e scopri tutto sulla storia del Massacro di Glencoe.
Attraversando paesaggi montani più ineguagliabili, raggiungiamo la città di Fort William. Ci fermeremo per il pranzo nella città sul lato del lago, dove potrete godere di una vista mozzafiato sui laghi, oltre a dare un'occhiata al Ben Nevis, la montagna più alta della Gran Bretagna, che si trova appena fuori dalla città.
Dopo la nostra sosta a Fort William, il nostro tour di un giorno a Glenfinnan viaggia verso est verso l'attrazione principale della giornata; il viadotto Glenfinnan, famoso per le sue numerose apparizioni nei film di Harry Potter. Durante i mesi estivi, potrai anche vedere l'iconica vista del treno a vapore giacobita (o Hogwarts Express) che attraversa il viadotto. Non dimenticate la macchina fotografica! Circondato da montagne sulle rive del Loch Shiel, il Glenfinnan Monument simboleggia uno degli eventi più importanti della storia scozzese; la rivolta giacobita del 1745. Passiamo circa un'ora al monumento, con abbastanza tempo per imparare la storia dei giacobiti e per farti scattare alcune foto iconiche del magnifico ponte e della splendida area circostante, intrisa di storia scozzese. Da Glenfinnan, iniziamo il nostro viaggio di ritorno a Glasgow, e molto presto attraversiamo un canale con una serie di chiuse sulla destra chiamato Neptune’s Staircase. Fa parte del Canale di Caledonia, che insieme a quattro laghi, consente a barche e navi di compiere un viaggio di 96 km dal lato occidentale a quello orientale della Scozia. Una vera impresa di ingegneria scozzese.
Continuiamo il nostro viaggio verso sud, passando davanti alle rive bonnie e bonnie del Loch Lomond. Ci fermeremo qui a Tarbet per una pausa di comfort prima che il nostro tour continui e torniamo a Glasgow.

Taylor and Blair were friendly, informative, and funny. Taylor did a fabulous job of driving the bus and giving great insight about the landmarks and relevant people that were tied to them. They were very accommodating and reworked the schedule to see the train cross the track (it was not the steam train but that’s out of their control). They added Scottish music to listen to on the bus which was a really nice touch. We also loved our fun surprise at the end!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Highlands tour from Glasgow with Timberbush. The landscapes were stunning, but the highlight was our guide and driver, Jack W. His humour, local knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care for guests made the experience exceptional. One of the best tour guides I've ever had! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great all-day trip to the western Highlands with Jack W as our tour guide. He was fantastic. Lots of great information the whole way up and then quiet on the return back. Loads of good humor too. Very caring for the tourists and he had a full coach for the trip we were on. Great sites with a mix of movie filming and real history. Learned a lot. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Our tour guide, Taylor was knowledgeable and very caring of me. I walk with a cane. I was late to the pickup point because I had a fall. Taylor was funny and kind. He made this cold and rainy Highland trip wonderful. Wear a raincoat and galoshes.
Firstly may I say how good and considerate our guide Taylor was. Very informative and thoughtful, especially looking after 2 ladies (one who was travel sick, another who was older and less mobile) Tour itself was soaking wet, although scenery was amazing. Seeing the HP viaduct was great. I think more stop offs for photos would be good, and less stops for food or refreshments. Although our weather wasnt good at all, this part of Scotland still looks amazing in the rain.
Our guide was lovely. The trip, if one had to summarise it is driving past lots of pretty scenery and stopping (mostly) at places which one would describe as tourist traps where you can buy souvenirs. I would think this tour would be improved by more time spent stopping at places for photographs ( like the lochs) and less " stop for a toilet break at a tourist cafe/souvenir shop" If I was asked by a friend of I would do this again or recommend I would say no.

What an amazing day! Our guide Michelle was the perfect mix of historian, storyteller and amazingly expert driver. From Scotland's fascinating history to the surprising origins of everyday phrases like "daylight robbery," she kept us entertained and learning the whole way. We arrived safely, laughed a lot, and left with memories (and fun facts!) we'll be sharing for years. Thank you for making the journey just as unforgettable as the destinations!
Our small group had a great experience on this all-day tour with Taylor. Many stops for beautiful views and photos and enough opportunities to grab food and drinks. The highlight was the Glenfinnan viaduct, where we saw the Jacobite steam train passing, and Glencoe with lovely views and a really interesting visitors' centre. This is a great way to see the Highlands in a comfortable way if you're short on time.
We had a well spoken, bantering driver/guide named Jack W. The information was excellent. From the moment we left Glasgow we knew exactly enter we were going and what we were doing. The sites we went to were amazing. Absolutely loved our day out.
