Ghiacciaio Canyon Grindelwald

We really enjoyed this activity when in Grindelwald and would recommend it. It’s about an hour activity and the bus from town centre was €6 return.

Really interesting hike through the canyon with great information about the glacier's retreat over the years. Also, there is a fun net to walk on over the glacier water if you chose to do so.

Easy walk through the canyon. Better to wear shoes that are securely attached to your feet for the net over river - my boys wore crocs and we almost lost one in the river!

Really interesting walk through the canyon, our daughter loved walking out over the fast flowing water. Felt it was good value for money, easy to book and very easy to get to on the local bus.

Nice stroll thru the canyon, doesn’t take to long 🚶2 hours walking very slow. My 6 year old son loved the spiders web suspended over the river between the two canyon faces. Take a jumper as the temperature dropped a lot thru out the canyon walk. Shame they haven’t continues the walkway to the glacier.

A beautiful place in contact with nature, a bit pricey but in my opinion, it is worth it. Wear technical shoes because in some areas like tunnels or places where water flows, it can be slippery; not suitable for those who are afraid of heights (I recommend looking ahead or above, not below!) Otherwise, you might get stuck, and for those like me who have knee ligament issues, it is manageable going up with calm and patience, but you need to be careful on the way back. You can easily reach it by bus. There is a good restaurant and parking available. We went on Sunday around 11 AM, and fortunately, there were not many people around. I hope I have been helpful

This was a fun and interesting walk through the canyon learning about the surrounding glaciers. It’s an out and back walk of about an hour. We didn’t take the bus and tried to walk back to Grindewald instead, but this isn’t a great idea. Traffic, steep hills, and there aren’t sidewalks the entire time. We had just done a big hike so we started tired ;) overall would recommend this activity to learn about the history of the glaciers and how they are being impacted by climate change. Went with a 12 year old!

Nice walk through the canyon but not a lot to see. It’s called glacier canyon but the glaciers disappeared a long time ago so it’s just rocks. There’s a rope net over a section of the canyon which you can walk and jump on. It is overpriced for what you get. To get to it from Grindelward take bus #122 which is free for tourists. From Grindelward train station or gondola station you will need to take bus 121 or 123 to get to Grindelwald town centre and then catch bus 122. These three buses are free ( but not bus 120 from the train station).

Great walk along the canyon beautiful among the rocks and the river, the canyon is stunning well worth visting a real photographers dream, hard to belive how Global Warming has affected the Glacier which has unfortunately disappeared, May for me was a great time to visit as there was no overcrowding, the walkway is narrow, well worth the money,walk took about 21/2hrs as there are many photo opportunites along the way,
