We had already heard amazing things about Waled, aka Mr. Brown Sugar. So I reached out to out to him through his instagram. I had to make sure I got to talk to him before booking. I can express enough how good he is. He showed us so many places for an economical price and never added any other fees/never changed his price because we took longer or asked for things on the way. He was patient and helped me find places to breastfeed my 5 month old baby. He was so sweet with my baby that she recognized him every time we saw him again. We loved him so much that we booked 3 more days with him. He showed us the city, best places to eat, the culture, and even helped us buy with local street/store vendors. Because people knew who he was, they would even give us free stuff. Every tour guide and vendor would personally come up to us to greet us and greet him with a hug and so much respect. We really were able to walk around feeling safe and comfortable because Waleed was watching after us the whole time. One day, we didn’t even book a tour and he still came to help us find a certain type of food. He always answered our messages super speedy, even when it was not about the tours. First of all, it doesn’t give me the option but we used Mr Brown Sugar Tours for our entire trip. We did a Nile cruise, a day trip to Alexandria, and multiple trips around Cairo over the course of a week. The entire team was INCREDIBLE. Everyone was always on time, professional, and personable enough that we are still in touch with multiple people we met. Wa alaykum assalaam! We are very happy with the services provided by mr brown sugar, right from the beginning of our tour from airport. His representative received us from airport and helped us for the immigration and other formalities. Then he himself arranged for our early check in our hotel as we reached very early in the morning. His knowledge about pyramids and Great Egyptian Museum is very vast and explained to us in a very impressive way and make our tour memorable. My Wife and I visited Egypt in Dec 2024 to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We reached out to Mr. Brown Sugar to schedule Airport pick and tours of the Sphinx, Pyramids and the New Grand Egyptian Museum. I was debating on a few different tour guides. I wanted to pick the best one because I was going solo. I knew after researching and reading reviews about Mr. Brown Sugar, that he was the right choice. He had someone meet me at the airport and walk me through getting my visa and through immigration. A driver was waiting for me when I walked outside and drove me to the hotel. I knew I made the right choice because of the personalized service. I was picked up from the hotel that evening for a dinner cruise on the Nile. While waiting to get on the boat, everyone (even other guides) came up to Mr. Brown Sugar and told me how great he is! He knows EVERYONE! The next day while visiting the pyramids, vendors would approach him and ask if it was ok to approach me. I did not have to worry about any aggressive vendors or feeling unsafe. He took care of everything. He even took amazing pictures! Touring the new museum was amazing. He gave me great information about Egyptian history, without making it too overwhelming. I cannot wait to come back! I had one of my best travel experiences ever and I am really grateful.
