Visitate l'interessante caseificio presso il caseificio dimostrativo Appenzeller a Stein AR, potrete scoprire come viene prodotto il formaggio più gustoso della Svizzera con latte naturale svizzero ed erbe aromatiche. Lasciati stupire dall'imponente cantina, dove sono conservate fino a 12.500 forme di formaggio, e prova a indovinare gli ingredienti più segreti del famoso formaggio Appenzeller durante una degustazione di formaggi. Lo Schwägalppass è un passo a 1278 m s.l.m. Faremo una breve passeggiata e ci godremo il bellissimo paesaggio svizzero prima di salire a bordo della funivia per la cima della montagna.
2502 m s.l.m., il Säntis è la montagna più alta della Svizzera orientale ed è la montagna avventura ideale per grandi e piccini. La funivia passa ogni 30 minuti da Schwägalp fino alla cima Säntis. In cima ci sono due ristoranti moderni e un mondo interattivo di avventura per circa 400.000 visitatori all'anno. Da qui si ha una splendida vista sulle magnifiche Alpi svizzere. (A causa del rinnovamento della funivia per il Monte Santis (maggio-novembre 2026), la Guida turistica vi accompagnerà su un'altra montagna, sempre in funivia. Martin is a one of a kind in this industry. So informative, patient, and allows you to do things at your pace and never feel rushed. This experience is a MUST DO if you are in the area. It is a full day excursion with some driving, but the sites during the drive are breath taking! And then the Chocolate factory and Cheese factory experiences were exceptional.....AND TASTY :). Plenty of time to taste and buy some souvenirs. And then we had the best weather and views to ride up to the mountain top for even more spectacular views! Just amazing! Great day out of Zurich to visit the beauty of Switzerland. Exceeded my expectations. Our driver, Martin, was very accommodating and friendly. He accommodated my Mother’s slower pace and we were able to see so much and the 8000 foot view with lunch at the top of the gondola was amazing! The drive through the countryside and farms was lovely. The cheese and chocolate factories were self guided tours.

Martin, our tour guide was excellent. He gave us a lot of information about the region and swiss culture. He drove us safely and professionally through the winding and hilly roads. The appenzeller tows is super cute and you can buy good quality cheeses and liquors from the region. The main reason for giving this tour an average qualification is because the chocolate and cheese tours are self guided, especially the cheese tour is super disappointed. You go and watch son videos and see the factory through a crystal wall. No one explain you anything. Not even what are the type of cheeses that you are going to taste in the sample tasting. I don’t think that the price you are paying for the tour which is about 1000 USD is consistent with the experience. If you want to watch a video you go to youtube. This experience must be improved.

What an amazing day of all things Swiss! Chocolate, cheese, Swiss Alps, churches, villages, shopping and eating traditional Swiss food. Martin, our private guide (trip pilot) was awesome!! He had us laughing, learning and enjoying our day in the Zurich area!! We highly recommend him and the tour 😊

We enjoyed a perfect day with our guide Martin! We learned so much about Swiss culture and history along the way as we traveled from experience to experience. The day was the perfect combination of local culture, amazing food, and the beautiful outdoor experience at Mt Santis. This trip met all of our (high) expectations. At our own pace, we were driven around a gorgeous part of the country. Our driver was flexible to allow us as little or as much time as we preferred in different places, like a longer lunch but a shorter time at the gondola (which was partially clouded over). After a somewhat disappointing river cruise, the service and the pace was a breath of fresh air and our favorite place of 5 countries visited. This was pricey but worth every penny.
