Entra nel mondo antico di Pucará. Scopri una delle più importanti culture pre-Inca delle Ande! Pucará è più di una tappa: è il luogo di nascita della civiltà degli altopiani nella regione del lago Titicaca, risalente al 500 a.C. Al suo apice, questa fiorente città si estendeva su un intero chilometro quadrato, sede di sacerdoti, artigiani, agricoltori e guerrieri. Ma ciò che rende Pucará davvero indimenticabile sono le sue splendide sculture monolitiche e ceramiche colorate. Benvenuti nel punto più alto del vostro viaggio: Abra La Raya, un passo di montagna mozzafiato che segna il confine naturale tra Cusco e Puno. Arroccato a 4.335 metri (14.200 piedi) sul livello del mare, questo spot offre una vista a 360° sulle Ande innevate, sui torrenti glaciali e sui cieli infiniti. Tieni pronta la fotocamera: spesso vedrai alpaca tranquilli al pascolo sotto cime imponenti. Senti la frizzante aria di montagna, ammira il silenzio degli altopiani e vivi la bellezza selvaggia dell'Altopiano del Perù. È più di una sosta fotografica: è un momento che ricorderai per sempre.
A metà del viaggio, godrai di un rilassante pranzo a buffet di 1 ora, un momento clou del tour. Situato in una pittoresca città andina, questo pasto mette in mostra le ricche tradizioni culinarie degli altopiani. Il nostro viaggio termina con una tappa obbligata: la splendida Chiesa di San Pietro Apostolo, meglio conosciuta come la “Cappella Sistina delle Ande”. Nascosta all'interno di un tranquillo villaggio, questa chiesa cinquecentesca dall'aspetto umile nasconde un interno di puro dramma visivo: altari in foglia d'oro, sculture in legno ornate e affreschi dal soffitto alle pareti che fondono le tradizioni andine con lo stile barocco europeo. Costruita dai Gesuiti in cima a un sito sacro Inca, la chiesa è un potente simbolo della stratificata storia spirituale del Perù. È il finale perfetto, ricco di colore, significato e meraviglia.

This is the best way to get from Puno to Cusco. Kudos to our guide Livario, who was responsible for 51 pax. He was so nice and welcoming, very knowledgeable about Peru and provided entertaining commentary along the bus journey. We were given little snack packs and a bottle of water to start the journey. There was a help yourself tea/coffee station on the bus too. The stops along the way were great. Two highlights were the delightful painting in a studio in Pukara and seeing the snow capped mountain range Apu. The buffet lunch was really top notch. We had a comfortable double decker coach bus with seat recline. An enjoyable way to get from A-B.
Good experience, but the price paid for the attractions did not meet expectations. Museums poor structures (dirty toilet and no toilet paper) and wet terrain in which several tourists fell and injured themselves
It does what it says it will do. It takes you on time between Puno and Cusco, it stops along the way (and the sites are pretty nice, you wish you had more time, in particular in Pukara and in Raqchi), the guide does speak english and spanish and is knowledgeable, and the perfectly nice lunch is included. When you arrive in Cusco, if you wish, they will call a taxi for you. Or you could call your own Cabify... If I had to do it again, I would !

A very nice way to travel from one city to another! Instead of renting a car, being taken care of, stopping at key places, and having additional information about the country and the cities we visit is really great! The chosen activities (with minimal additional costs) were worth the expense!

Great tour. Of course, the time during the stops is very limited, but it is reasonable considering the distance between Puno and Cuzco and potential road delays. The guide is very knowledgeable.
This was the best bus ride I had in Peru. The bus was roomy with very comfortable seats as well as free wifi. There were a lot of interesting stops along the way and it didn’t feel like a 11 hour bus ride. The only thing I would say to be aware of, is that we were told it’s easy to get a taxi when arriving in Cusco. I didn’t find that the situation. Many people on the bus had drivers waiting for them. I would suggest maybe organising a driver before you arrive. Apart from that it was a wonderful experience.

The day with the InkaExpress has been really good. The guide was simply amazing, full of information and a clear love for his land and its history. The tour was rich and very interesting. We had a grand time. The bus is modern and extremely comfortable with large, plushy reclining seats. All in all a grand experience!

The excursion was long for reasons beyond both of our control; however, it was an unforgettable experience in landscapes. Although the excursion could not be carried out as such, it was attempted to fulfill it. But if you take this route, it is beautiful.
