Really accommodating crew on a once in a lifetime opportunity to see humpback whales migrate. Highly recommend!

The crew was very nice and informative. We did get pretty soaked but I was happy with it. It seemed to be more of a ocean cruise instead of seeing whales. We saw the spouts and the tales every once in awhile but definitely not what I was expecting. No the boats fault you can't really expect behavior from an animal. Im sure others will have better luck at diffrent time. Still nice I went at 3pm and got to see the sunset over sydney which was an unforgettable moment.

The whole experience was great. Small boat, 29 guests. Friendly crew. We saw whales and a large pod of common dolphins.

Saw lots of whales, the sun set and as a bonus, dolphins!! Maybe better luck next time to see the whales in an active phase, as they were in rest phase in preparation for an upcoming storm, explained by a sweet and knowledgeable tour guide 😊

A great whale watching experience. It is a small boat with a crew of three. A skipper (Jono) a whale expert (Mette) and a company photographer (Alex). Mette is very knowledgable and kept us informed, while Alex took photos, which were sent to us that night. I would certainly recommend Whale Tales to anyone wanting to experience the whale migration and they give you a free tour if you don't see any whalers.

Everything about these guys was spectacular! The check in was easy, boat was perfect. Crew was friendly, informative and helpful. The whales performed as the guides Meta and Alex said they would. 😁. Must do if it’s whale season. Yes you might get wet although the crew will tell you where to not get wet. Yes there is a bathroom. Yes there are waves even on a smooth day. Fun and educational experience!

I highly recommend the Whale Tales Sydney Harbour whale watching experience. We went with the Cheeky Monkey boat crew of Jono (captain), Emily (whale biologist), and Alex (photographer extraordinaire). They were all very enthusiastic and we couldn't believe how many whales we saw. I would have been satisfied to see one or two. We saw several dozen – unusual, even for the expert crew. As part of the package, they send professional photos taken during the journey. It was a perfect memento from this once-in-a-lifetime memory!

We had the most amazing experience! We were extremely fortunate to see 50 whale breaches during our time with Whale Tales. This was made possible due to the experienced staff (and a lot of luck.) A massive shout out to skipper Johno, photographer and guide Alex, and guide Emily for such a great time. A special thanks to Emily for her care towards our 6 year old son- she really put him at ease and was so helpful.

I have always wanted to go whale watching and this trip did not disappoint! We saw two pairs of humpback whales and a solo traveller during our trip. There is a bonus professional photographer on the boat and the photos from the trip are sent later the same day. We took some great photos and video but they aren’t as good as hers were. My only warning is the boat ride can be rougher than you might expect so if you are in any doubt of your seaworthiness, I would advise you to take anti travel sickness medication before boarding. The team on board are friendly, informative and very caring for those affected by sea sickness of which probably a quarter were on our trip. Also, the calmest part of the boat is at the back but it’s also the wettest so unless you want to look like a drowned rat at the end (we got very wet but it added to the adventure), might want to take a rain jacket! Brilliant trip I would definitely recommend!

This was an absolutely amazing experience and the crew that led us were fantastic. We struck gold and saw a group of “active” whales and my son and I will never forget the experience. Everyone aboard the boat was kind, knowledgeable, and provided, in my opinion, a once in a lifetime experience. Kudos to all of them. Would book with this group without hesitation. For whatever it’s worth, one of my colleagues got sea sick about the boat and the staff took tremendous care of him. Most likely a curveball for the team, but they handled it really well.
