My family enjoyed our 10am grotto trip with Igor and John immensely! They were certainly very entertaining with relaying the facts and history. We captured some fantastic photos. I loved the small group, there were only 7 of us guests on the boat (another party did not make it). One hour and 15 minutes was the perfect amount of time to see everything. Obrigada!
This grotto tour was one of a kind. Our boat was small enough to squeeze into the crevices and the guides were knowledgeable as well as creative and helped us see shapes that amounted to the local stories regarding some of the rock structures! Definitely recommend an early morning tour or a late afternoon tour during the summer, as it gets really hot outside.

We didn’t see any grottos. Our tour started out very poorly. Our tour was at 10:30am and our family came before 10:30am. For some reasons, they missed us. They told us they called our name twice but I didn’t think they did. Our children (kids don’t lie) also said they didn’t hear our name was called by the tour operator. Long story short, they wanted to charge us 1/2 price and changed it to 12:30pm. My husband spoke to the tour operator and finally he agreed to put us on an earlier tour which was at 11am (don’t remember exactly the time) . Got on the tour, wave was crazy and no grotto to see at all. Such a waste of time. We book Viator everywhere we travel. And we do travel a lot . We recently started booking on GetYourGuide and we have had very good experiences with them. With that being said, I’m unsure if I want to book anything on Viator again.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you left disappointed, but we would like to clarify what actually happened. Your original booking was for the 10:30 departure, which was missed. Under our booking policy, a rescheduling fee normally applies in these situations because we are holding seats that can no longer be sold. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we did not charge any rescheduling fee and instead offered you a new departure at 12:30. When places became available on an earlier boat, we even moved your family to that departure to reduce your waiting time. Regarding the caves, all passengers were informed before departure that, due to the sea conditions, access to some grottos could not be guaranteed. Safety is always our highest priority, and we will never put our guests or crew at risk by entering caves when conditions are not safe. This information was clearly explained before the tour. We always do our best to help our guests, even when they miss their scheduled departure, which is why we are naturally disappointed by this review after the flexibility and assistance our team provided. We wish you and your family all the best.

Absolutely phenomenal tour of the coast. The grottos and coves were super cool and truly beautiful! Our guides Igor and Joao were amazing - super professional and fun. They had great stories and local knowledge the entire way; some pretty hilarious jokes too. We even ended up at a restaurant that was their recommendation which was awesome. We went as a family of four with a 4 and 6 year old, they both loved it. Would Give 6 stars if possible!!
