Our guide was excellent and provided interesting historical information
Visited Trani harbor and cathedral. Home of the pope for 100 years. We were not shown the interior of the cathedral, just the basement rooms. Went to the Castel del Monte. A must see activity. Learned about the history of the area. Nice trip to see the Puglia countryside. Tour guide/driver spent a lot of time talking about how the world politics was bad and how much he disliked tourists in general. I politely declined to ask him to stop. It wasn’t appropriate conversation for a visit to the highlight of the region.
probably missunderstood the guide
The trip with Giampaolo was excellent, interesting, and took place (even there were only two of us on the tour). He was well informed and experienced, and drove well in a safe vehicle. A very enjoyable day.
We toured the Svevo castel, drove to Trani to see the cathedral and then castel de Monte which was the highlight. The cathedral at Trani was something I could miss. The two castles were very interesting. Vito was very passionate about telling the stories and interesting little tidbits behind the places we visited. Very informative. I had already read about King Fredrick and so it was fun to imagine him in his castel. We would never be able to drive around to these places and so appreciated the drive.
It was a beautiful day in the company of Vito Our guide .. With whom we also shared many laughs.
Francesco was a marvelous guide for the full day tour. He arrived on time and proceeded to share his deep knowledge of the sites and also of the people and culture of this part of Puglia. A delightful and charming young man; you’ll be lucky if you get him.
