La baia di Kotor (serbo e montenegrino: Бока Которска / Boka Kotorska), nota anche come Boka, è la baia tortuosa del mare Adriatico nel sud-ovest del Montenegro e la regione del Montenegro concentrata attorno alla baia. La baia è stata abitata fin dall'antichità. Le sue città medievali ben conservate di Cattaro, Risano, Teodo, Perast, Prčanj e Herceg Novi, insieme ai loro dintorni naturali, sono le principali attrazioni turistiche. La Regione Naturale e Culturo-Storica di Cattaro è stata dichiarata Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO nel 1979. Le sue numerose chiese e monasteri ortodossi e cattolici attraggono numerosi pellegrini religiosi e culturali.
Perast (serbo cirillico: Пераст) è un'antica città nella baia di Kotor in Montenegro. Si trova a pochi chilometri a nord-ovest di Kotor ed è nota per la sua vicinanza agli isolotti di San Giorgio e Nostra Signora delle Rocce.
Cattaro è una città fortificata sulla costa adriatica del Montenegro, in una baia vicino alle scogliere calcaree del monte Lovćen. Enjoyable, loads of info, the driver/host was wonderful too.
This itinerary was very good. We particularly liked Perast and Old Town Kotor (try the Krempita dessert from bakery with green shutters near back side of town) . It was a very hot day. The border crossings were not too bad but we had a long traffic delay which was no fault of the driver, however the the van became very hot as we sat idle.Darko was our driver/guide. The van is an 8 passenger van plus driver. It was tight fit as my wife had to sit in the front seat between me and the driver and with a manual stick shift it made the seating even more tight. It would be better suited with six people in this van instead of the 8 who were booked on our tour. The air conditioner was marginal at best and needed serviced.
Darko was wonderful. He picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel. We used a comfortable van to drive to Montenegro to tour three different cities. Border crossing between Montenegro and Croatia could be challenging, and Darko was very adapt at figuring out the best routes and timing to minimize the waiting. The schedule was well organized and at a good pace. Pearst was lovely. Kotor is an amazing walled city. We did a full loop around the bay of kotor so were able to see the amazing views. Budva beach time was great. Make sure you walk all the way over to mongren beach to see the beach and a great view of the old city with the ballerina statue.
We enjoyed our day tour. We felt we had ample time in each place and our driver gave a good commentary. The views and scenery were amazing andcthe Old town of Kotor did not disappoint. The only thing that I felt let it down was the bus, it was quite a tight fit made worse by the fact I was sitting over a wheel hub which cut leg room right down and was uncomfortable

Communication was clear and easy, and he made us feel welcome throughout the trip. Darko is a very careful driver, and we felt safe and relaxed the entire time. The trip was excellently planned and executed. We traveled as a family of three with a toddler, and for the most part, she was able to keep up with the pace. Our driver and tour guide, Darko, was incredibly considerate, attentive, and communicative throughout the trip. He kept us informed of the itinerary, was accommodating to our family's needs, and provided thorough explanations of each location's history as well as its modern-day significance. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, but there are a few things future travelers should keep in mind. The itinerary is fast-paced and covers a lot of ground, leaving limited time to explore each destination in depth. In some cities, the allotted time felt sufficient, while in others we wished we had more time. The driving itself is also quite intense. Much of the route follows winding cliffside roads that can be rough and challenging, especially if you are prone to motion sickness. As someone who is pregnant, I found this portion particularly uncomfortable, and even our daughter became carsick for the first time despite having done many road trips without issue. One final recommendation: we did not find the island church stop to be worthwhile. Paying €20 for the boat ride and staying 15 minutes on the island felt excessive, and if you're trying to maximize your experience, I'd recommend skipping it.
Me and my friends booked this trip and were pleasently suprised how short the boarder check was. The trip was beautiful and the guide told us some history about montenegro. I would recommend this trip.
I enjoyed this day trip. I had been considering taking the ferry to Kotor but this itinerary allowed me to see more places and 2 hours in Kotor and Budva was enough as they are small. Peter was a good driver and helped us get through border control quickly and we were back in Dubrovnik by 5pm. The only downside of the early start is the church on Our Lady Of The Rocks wasn't open.
My wife Mairi and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Montenegro! Our guide and driver Darko was excellent!! He was friendly and gave us lots of information about where we were going and what to look out for!! An excellent day trip which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to see lovely sights and learn about the country!!
