Parti al mattino per il confine rumeno-bulgaro, arriverai alle chiese rupestri di Ivanovo, un patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO unico con affreschi perfettamente conservati. La prossima tappa sarà a Veliko Turnovo, la capitale del secondo impero bulgaro, dove potrai visitare la fortezza di Tsarevets del 12° secolo. Fai un salto indietro nel tempo lungo la via degli artigiani di Samovodene, ricca di laboratori di gente del posto, dove puoi trovare un ramaio, un argentiere, un pittore di icone e molti altri. Guida fino al villaggio di Arbanassi, una riserva architettonica unica in Bulgaria. Visita l'interno della Konstantilieva House, una casa di mercanti del XVII secolo.

the tour did not happen, simply did not appreciate, I stayed 1 hour waiting at the meeting point, 1 day before was confirmed the pick up time, and nothing

The locations were great, the vehicle reasonable, but missed city tours and a more effective guide follow-up. Basically transportation.

This tour is exactly what you would expect on an all day tour to another country. The drive is long the bathroom breaks and quick stops are at a gas station. That being said it is a wonderful way to quickly see two really great sites in Bulgaria. The rock church is simple and small but well done and a nice visit. The Fortress is also great and the views are stunning. Two things I think all travelers should know: 1. You will need 4 Bulgarian Lev in cash for the church. All other sites do all use of credit cards. 2. If you do not have it available you will have a stop to exchange but they will only except 20 EUR cash or minimum 50 LEU. This will get you the amount for the church but will not cover the fortress (you can use card).
Although our driver was nice, I would not recommend this trip. It was a long drive, with lots of climbing. Tour operators should classify this as hiking.
Company was unable to honor the contract, canceling the tour a day before the tour, frustrating the opportunity to meet the Medieval City
Veliko Tarnovo was amazing .. very beautiful town. Despite the rain and clouds, the view was great. Eating at Ego restaurant in town provided a great view of the river as per pics.
