Excellent guide, told about the local history, very requested and nice. The guide has always been very careful with all participants, I am allergic and he took all care with.Io.
Nikki was my tour guide and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable and so friendly :) The tour was amazing seeing the pagoda first and all the Buddha statues. Going to the different islands and seeing the snakes , crocodiles, big catfish was great and the coconut candy factory and trying snake wine. Lunch was delicious, spring rolls , elephant fish and soup/ noodles etc Would highly recommend this tour!
Skeptical from the reviews read, fortunately I changed my mind, and it was a wonderful experience. We made the Tuor with MekongEcoTravel and it was a great experience. Vietnamese breakfast in the water, we entered a merchant boat. Rice noodles, gardens and small canals, out of sight! Update on the current state of the market: The market after Covid obviously took a big hit. But contrary to what poorly informed people write it is not touristic at all (or maybe it is if you leave in boats of 20 people and not privately) After Covid many companies have continued transport by land FOR ECONOMIC REASONS, since it is less expensive than by sea. In addition, many young people who continued the family business, today prefer to go to university because it ensures a better and greater income. The boats you will see are boats that sell wholesale (minimum 100kg of harvest) and that come from the farms and stop there until they run out of goods (even more than a week if necessary). That said, I think it is essential to keep tourism in such places so as not to let this custom die, which remains an incredible experience.
Totally disappointing, there were almost no boats at the floating market because it was one of the Lunar New Year holidays. The water level in the canals was very low. It was full of garbage, plastic food, garbage bags, wine, as they threw garbage bags on several occasions from the houses, two floating dog corpses. The propellers of the boats stop continually because they become entangled by the plastic, they remove it and throw it back into the river.
Our tour guide Toan was very knowledgeable and created a meaningful experience for us all. I especially enjoyed the coconut candy making and the Buddist temple we went to. My only complaint is that given the large number of people on the tour (14) he did not have time for questions. I suppose I could have booked a private tour and had a more personal experience but for the price it was well worth it.
Thank you Jimmy for being a good host for a small team to entertain. Great day out with a bit of variety of things happening and opportunities to cool down
We were picked up by our guide as arranged, but he didn’t introduce himself. He gave us commentary during the day, but only when there was noise around which made it difficult to hear. At the end of the tour he arranged for us to join another group for the return to HCMC and be dropped back to our hotel as he was continuing on a multi-day trip with some others. However, on arrival back at HCMC, the bus driver told us to get out at the bus station and refused to take us to our hotel, despite our protests. I don’t think I could recommend this tour company.
