Sono nata a Epernay, nel cuore di questa culla dello Champagne dove si chiamava Auban-Moet il reparto maternità, costruito nel 1893 grazie alle donazioni della famiglia Moët & Chandon.I bambini che nascono in questo luogo ricevono una goccia di Champagne fin dai primi respiri ! Un tale battesimo apre uno stile di vita, quindi ho scelto di raggiungere le colline di gesso per lavorare lì e sviluppare una certa sensibilità per la natura e la vite. Tutta una storia di cieli, paesaggi e persone che non riesco a tenere per me. Benvenuti nella terra dello Champagne!!

Lungo la strada ci dirigeremo verso l'incantevole villaggio di Hautvillers, la culla dello Champagne. Situato su una collina, offre una vista mozzafiato sulla Montagne de Reims, sulla Valle della Marna e sulla Côte des Blancs! Addossata al vicino bosco, si annida un'abbazia benedettina il cui intendente-cantina nel 1668 si chiamava Dom Pérignon! Nato nel 1639 a St Menehould nella Marna, è uno dei monaci che hanno contribuito a migliorare la qualità del vino nella nostra regione. La sua scoperta dell'unione di diversi vitigni e di diverse annate assicurò la sua posterità. Dietro il giardino recintato dell'Abbazia, la vista è mozzafiato sui vigneti "grand cru" e "premier cru" della denominazione Champagne. Il luogo ideale per scoprire l'intero ciclo della vite e il duro lavoro "artigianale" del viticoltore di Champagne. Non è forse "buoni vini senza buona uva"
Sarà il momento della pausa pranzo in un ristorante di cucina tradizionale francese 3chez Max o altrove a seconda della disponibilità, vi verranno offerti due menu oltre a piatti vegetariani, vegani, senza glutine ecc.... Il tutto accompagnato da un flute di champagne, un bicchiere di vino rosso e caffè.
Dopo pranzo sarà gradita una piccola passeggiata digestiva (secondo il tempo)! Dirigiti verso la famosa Avenue de Champagne a Epernay, cuore storico della divina bevanda. Qui sono nate le Grandi Case! Tenute come Moët et Chandon, Perrier-Jouët o Pol Roger, De Venoge... hanno gareggiato in audacia architettonica e magnificenza per dare allo Champagne le sue lettere di nobiltà. Sono in sintonia con la reputazione del vino che invecchia nelle loro cantine. Con un parco di 110 km di cantine e ben 200 milioni di bottiglie sotto l'acciottolato, questo Viale è considerato il più ricco del mondo!
La fine del pomeriggio sarà dedicata alla visita di un vignaiolo indipendente che, attraverso la sua famiglia e la sua storia secolare, vi svelerà le sue cantine e parte del segreto del suo vino. L'incontro dei suoi viticoltori giardinieri e dei loro champagne è sempre un momento unico e indimenticabile perché sono i proprietari del 90% dei 34.000 ettari coperti dalla denominazione Champagne. Con questo atto, sono l'origine, la memoria, la tradizione familiare e talvolta la lotta! Sono il cuore del terroir. La visita è terminata: Il tocco finale brillerà nei nostri flauti da champagne per una degustazione commentata così come alcuni suggerimenti per abbinamenti cibo e champagne di successo!

This champagne tour in Reims was one of the highlights of our entire trip to France. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, elegant, and genuinely enjoyable. Our guide, Angélique, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and engaging, and she shared the history and craftsmanship behind champagne in a way that was both fascinating and easy to understand. Her passion for the region and for champagne truly elevated the entire experience—she made the tour feel personal, relaxed, and special. The cellar visit and the tastings were excellent and thoughtfully presented. Nothing felt rushed or overly touristy; instead, it felt authentic, intimate, and very well curated. If you’re visiting Reims, this tour is a must-do. And if you’re lucky enough to have Angélique as your guide, you’re guaranteed an exceptional experience. Highly recommend!

A unique experience with Angelique. This was a fun, thoroughly informative day out. The champagne tastings were delicious and our lunch at Chez Max was excellent. If you only pick one tour, this is the one to go for.
Angelique was knowledgable and enthusiastic! She brought an irreverent humour to the day, and we warmed to her quickly. She arranged a fabulous lunch for us at Chez Max - lovely small menu, champagne and wine, and a super host. We ended up going to Mercier in the morning which, while fun, was somewhere we all had visited before - a shame. I recommend contacting her in advance to discuss the itinerary as the one on her website, we now know, is only indicative - she normally contact clients but she was “too busy” on this occasion. The afternoon visit to House Dauby was fabulous - a friendly smaller Champagne House and a family that Angelique knows very well. Overall we would recommend Angelique for those wanting a knowledgeable, fun champagne guide in this beautiful part of the world.
Fantastic champagne event. Angelica was a fabulous guide, very organized, well connected with the champagne halls and Resturants, and knowledgeable of the region. Great food at the restaurant and experiences at the halls. Angelica was engaged and kept the conversation going. She gave great Resturant and wine recommendations.

We did a private full day tour with Angelique. She has an amazing wealth of knowledge and energy. We appreciated going to the smaller champagne houses and having plenty of time to hear the stories of the families and taste the champagnes. The restaurant for lunch was outstanding. She also took us for a few other views and history. Angelique gave us some recommendations for the rest of our holiday. Outstanding day! Thank you Angelique!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This was such an amazing tour for my husband & me. Because it’s a slow time of year, we ended up being the only people on the tour. Angelique was a dream! There’s a reason she has all positive reviews! We toured Rue de Champagne, visited 2 wineries, had a lunch at Chez Max (one of the best meals we’ve had in France), toured the vineyards, & visited Dom Perignon’s grave. It was a beautiful day & I can’t recommend Angelique & this tour enough!

Wonderful champagne tour with Angelique. Angelique is from Epernay and grew up in the area. Our tour included visits to the vineyards, a large corporate Champagnes house, a small family run champagne winery and lunch at a local French restaurant. Angelique was very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended.
