Il tour Rainforest & Bio Bay è semplicemente un must! Scopri le due più grandi attrazioni naturali di Porto Rico iniziando con un viaggio panoramico e una sosta presso un banco di frutta locale. Dopo un'escursione interpretativa su sentieri naturali fiancheggiati da flora e fauna meravigliose, oltre a guadare alcuni fiumi e scalare rocce, arriveremo a un tesoro nascosto nel cuore della maestosa foresta pluviale nazionale di El Yunque. In questo segmento mozzafiato della foresta, puoi nuotare in piscine naturali, rinfrescarti sotto le cascate, scivolare lungo esilaranti scivoli d'acqua, dondolarti con le corde nel fiume, saltare da diverse formazioni rocciose e semplicemente rilassarti al suono delle acque che cadono mentre ti immergi nell'acqua. bellezza di questo posto davvero speciale. Goditi la cena e una pausa in un ristorante locale prima del tour di Bio Bay.
Dopo aver ricevuto alcuni consigli sul kayak, navigheremo in kayak per circa 30 minuti attraverso la foresta di mangrovie rosse per raggiungere la laguna bioluminescente. Lungo il percorso, le tue ecoguide ti indicheranno la bellissima flora e fauna protette della foresta. All'arrivo alla Laguna Grande il sole tramonterà e la magia avrà inizio. Ad ogni colpo di pagaia appariranno delle scintille nell'acqua. I kayak creeranno un vortice di luce e i pesci brilleranno nell'oscurità dell'acqua.

Il terreno nella foresta pluviale può essere fangoso, scivoloso, irregolare e includere guado del fiume, arrampicata su grandi rocce e ripide pendenze. Il kayak può essere faticoso quando la corrente è forte e richiede forza nella parte superiore del corpo. Questa escursione è consigliata agli ospiti con uno stile di vita attivo. È una giornata lunga, ma piena di divertimento!
- Il limite massimo di peso è di 240 libbre. a persona (nessuna eccezione). Il limite di peso massimo per kayak è di 425 libbre. (combinato tra 2 persone, senza partecipanti che superino il limite di peso individuale). **Per motivi di sicurezza, prima di ogni sessione verranno effettuati controlli del peso. I partecipanti che superano la capacità di peso combinata o individuale non saranno ammessi a partecipare e non verrà concesso alcun rimborso. Si prega di informare ogni persona del gruppo.**

- NOTA: il tour di sabato è più lungo (circa 1 ora aggiuntiva) e più faticoso rispetto a quello dal lunedì al venerdì. È molto importante che tu sia in grado di rispettare tutte le restrizioni del tour, avere un ottimo livello di forma fisica e essere in grado di portare le ginocchia al petto.

This is definitely not El Yunque and/or BioBay Experience!! Our tour guides Rene and Amaru were wonderful, helpful and very knowledgeable of the area!! It’s the company that upsets me! You can’t sell an experience and then not offer it! We don’t actually go into El Yunque!! The places we visited were cool but they are actually on the side/right next to El Yunque. The BioBay experience was a total flop!! I understand that this is a natural phenomenon; I understand that the weather conditions and so many other factors weigh in on the illumination visibility!! We saw NOTHING! Not even the tarps provided helped!! Then the tour guide said WE HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS!! Well then why are you still selling this experience?!?!?! This was not what I expected and I was disappointed. To the owners of Island Journey and Kayaking Puerto Rico: do better or rename your excursion!

We do want to clarify that the river/swimming area we visit is part of El Yunque National Forest, it is the same rainforest ecosystem and is one of the most popular areas to experience its rivers, natural waterslides, and waterfalls. We understand, however, that this may not have aligned with what you expected. Regarding the Bioluminescent Bay, we completely understand your disappointment. Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon that depends on factors such as weather, rainfall, moonlight, and water conditions, and visibility can vary greatly from night to night. Whenever conditions are expected to be poor, we do our best to notify guests in advance so they can make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the tour. Soaking wet, but super proud. The guides provided assistance during the ascent and were on hand with tips. It was not exactly easy for me, but it was totally worth it.

This was an amazing experience. My daughter and I definitely were not ready for the strenuous activity. But we had an amazing time. Being out on the water in the dark is something I will never forget. We weren't able to see the gli because I'd the seaweed, but the experience itself is so amazing. A must do.

This tour is done through two different companies. Island Journeys is the first company that takes you to the El Yunque Rainforest where you partake in hiking and scrambling/climbing which eventually leads to an awesome natural water slide, cliff jump, and rope swing. Each of which are optional but I highly recommend as it was so fun! Our tour guides, Amauri and Jean were fantastic. Gave us great information about the area and plant life mixing in some humor to keep us entertained. They did a great job guiding us through the scrambling and climbing and made sure we stayed safe. After we finished with the slide, cliff jump and rope, they then fed us fresh fruit before we began the hike back to the van. We were then dropped off at a marina restaurant where we got to have a wonderful early dinner. Then we were taken to the kayak company where they offered us bug spray and lockers for our things before loading up into kayaks for the bioluminescent lagoon tour. We were warned ahead via email that the glow would be very low due to seaweed messing up the oxygen levels but they tried their hardest to create opportunities by providing tarps to create more darkness and giving techniques to increase our chances of seeing the glow. They taught us about some of the other animals located on the island before we began the journey back. Fair warning, while this was a very fun day it was long, and fairly physical. You will be required to have closed toed shoes that have decent grip.
