Fantastic day for me, my husband and son. We saw Tangier in a way we never could have on our own. So many small things we never would have found or understood without our excellent guide! Very nice and comfortable van. Great communication and help beforehand as well. Highly recommend!!
This is our second tour with Abu and each time it was an excellent tour. He does a great job of listening to your family’s needs and making sure you have time to do the things that are most important to you. The van is very comfortable and a great way to see Tangier. Abu is well known and respected in the community and everyone we encountered was super friendly. If there is something specific you want to shop for he will help you find the shop they has it and will even help you negotiate price if needed. Our family highly recommends hiring Abu for any of your Tangier based excursions
What an excellent experience! This Excursion was the highlight of our trip. From booking to the drop off back at the ferry every thing was perfect. Abu was such a great guide and fun to learn from. He was extremely fluid in English including the slime. He was easy to understand and talk to. He had wonderful information and connections that made our trip so memorable.
We took a one day tour from Malaga to Tangiers. Abu met us at the ferry terminal in Tangiers and spent 6.5 hours with us. We drove around the hills and saw the outsides of rich peoples’ estates and wonderful views. We saw where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea and Abu was so knowledgeable! The camel rides were totally fun and Abu adjusted the schedule according to our preferences. We spent less time with the camels so that we could visit two synagogues. That was fascinating and again, Abu explained so much of the history and present day life of Jews in Tangiers. At the market, he brought us to the best places to shop and showed us really interesting things like the community oven. Abu is a lovely man, charming, accommodating, very knowledgeable, and extremely prompt and responsible. His English is great and he explains things well. We recommend him highly and would definitely take another tour if we went back to Morocco. Ten stars!
Went to Rota, Spain to visit family and we booked a day trip with Abu. This was more than we expected and well worth the money. He’s the perfect tour guide and very knowledgeable about the culture and where to go.
We booked our trip online and drove from Marbella to the ferry terminal in Tarifa to catch the 9 am ferry. The tour guys were on the ball tickets etc all ready when we arrived. The ferry was fine nice coffee from the kiosk. On arrival we were handled very professionally and loaded onto coaches. The tour guide was very friendly and had a good grip on English but preferred French and was very informative. There is a but though don’t take local money with you everyone has a different exchange rate take euros, also the drinks they offer at lunch are delicious but expensive. Take your own!!! In the old town have cash because nobody seemed to have any card facilities. All in all a good day out with lots of different sites and sounds which made it interesting. Would I recommend it YES would I do it again NO but was value for money for the experience.
I never write reviews but I have planned my entire trip around what others have written and I’m so glad I did for this booking! Just wrapped up a private tour with Abu and it was the best way to spend a day in Tangier. He knows all the spots to go and has friends in low places, literally. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the city and learn about the culture!
There were only 2 of us that signed up for the tour on 02Feb2025, so we had a private tour! Our guide, Abu (Akel Aboubakr), picked us up in an extremely clean, big, and new car that was perfect for the 2 of us. (My partner is 6’4” and small cars are difficult.) Abu was very helpful, knowledgeable, and spoke perfect English. His knowledge of Morocco made our tour extremely enjoyable. His knowledge of the US was more than anything we could have anticipated. The Moroccan food provided as part of the tour was very tasty. We truly enjoyed trying authentic local food. My partner rode a camel, but I was too afraid to try it. He truly liked every minute of it. Abu was very good at stopping for us to take some amazing photos.
What an amazing day! It was my husband’s 81st birthday and this was the event of all times to celebrate! Abu was a charming, informative guide who showed us beautiful places. Riding the camels was memorable. We loved it all!
Rashid met us from the ferry and boarded the coach. After a short ride we stopped for pictures of some fun sites. A quick camel ride for some more pictures and off again. Rashid made the trip extremely fun and after a traditional Moroccan lunch we hit the bazaar. The haggling was unfortunately a must but souvenirs in hand we sat for a coffee before heading back to port for another passport stamp and a comfortable ride back to Tarifa. A really fun day with so many great memories and a new veiw of tangiers . Beautiful place with so much history. And meeting Rashid the guide made it a fun experience. Definitely recommend.
