Gita di un giorno da Budva a Dubrovnik

La partenza è da Budva . Sulla strada si può vedere la baia di Boka Kotorska dove si passa in traghetto attraverso il passaggio Verige (10min). La strada ci porta al confine croato, da cui si dispone di meno di 40 km alla città di Dubrovnik. Di fronte al centro storico ci sarà una guida turistica locale che vi porterà attraverso vecchie stradine e vi dirà qualcosa di più sulla storia di quella città. Avrai un’ora con la guida e dopo avrai 3 ore di tempo libero. Si può fare l'esplorazione della città, salire alle mura della città... Dopo aver visitato la città vecchia è previsto di scattare foto panoramiche della città vecchia di Dubrovnik.Ritorno a Budva intorno alle 18:30h. Attenzione: il tempo di rientro dipende dagli ingorghi alle frontiere. Incluso nel prezzo: trasporto, guida. Non incluso: pranzo. Raccomandazione: non dimenticare il passaporto!

Nel 1979, il centro storico di Dubrovnik è stato incluso nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Queste mura massicce del 13.st. Circondano l'intero centro storico, e raggiungono un'altezza di 24 metri e uno spessore di 6 metri. Le mura si esplorano al meglio facendo una piacevole passeggiata lungo i due chilometri di sentieri ben tenuti lungo i bastioni e le fortezze intorno alla città stessa. Di particolare importanza sono anche la strada principale del centro storico di Stradun, il Palazzo del Rettore, la Chiesa di Sant'Antonio. Blaise, Cattedrale, Municipio. Oggi, passeggiando per questo centro storico, vi sembrerà di essere in un'altra epoca, e questo può essere attribuito al fatto che tutte le attrazioni della città di Dubrovnik si trovano nelle immediate vicinanze l'una dell'altra. Bellissime strade bianche acciottolate, negozi di souvenir, caffè iconici e ristoranti di prim'ordine sono solo una parte dell'esperienza che godrai mentre esplori questa città-museo unica.

Very very bad. At 6.45 we where at the pickup place. Pickup time was 7.00. We waited until 8.00, but nothing... A local agent told us that the bus didn't come. Very bad. And now in Dutch. We would be picked up at 7 o'clock at the indicated pick-up point. We were already there at 6.45am. No bus by 8:00. We learned from a local office that there had been no bus. Booking via via viator and tripadvisor. Extraordinarily bad.
Ok so...meh. My friend and I have mixed feelings about this trip. We left our hotel at 6:30am for the bus to collect us at 6:45am. It was on time, all fine, we had our passports and our tickets and it was grand. The bus ride to the border was very picturesque and we got a ferry across the bay which was lovely. After 3 hours, we got to the Montenegrin/Croatian boarder and we were stuck there for well over an hour. You can get off and wait but you're met by the ever welcoming scent of urine and portaloos. Anyway, after finally crossing the boarder and another 45 min drive, we were in Dubrovnik. As soon as we got off the bus, we were herded like cattle into a tour around the old town with no comfort pee break. Whilst on the tour, we heard very little of what the guide was saying as she wasn't using a microphone or projecting her voice so it was kind of pointless. We only had about 2.5 - 3 hours free time in the city which wasn't a lot of time. It felt very rushed. Then we had to do the whole 3 hour journey back. Thankfully we weren't at the boarder for another hour plus but the stench of urine was even stronger. Overall, It was nice to see another city, get the passport stamp, and the views are gorgeous but honestly, break away from the tour and do your own thing.
