Il tour Guba-Shahdag è un viaggio attraverso la parte europea dell'Azerbaigian. Lungo il Mar Caspio lungo la pianura Samur-Divichinsky c'è una strada che porta i turisti in semi-espresso verso le montagne del Caucaso settentrionale. Un viaggio in una delle località sciistiche più famose dell'Azerbaigian, situata sul monte Shahdag, è un viaggio attraverso la vasta steppa e le abbaglianti montagne innevate.

Itinerario
Ritiriamo dagli hotel centrali di Baku, ad eccezione degli hotel situati nella Città Vecchia e nelle vicinanze. Che gli ospiti stanno arrivando alle Doppie Porte - porte principali della Città Vecchia (Qosha Qala qapisi)
Percorrendo l'autostrada M1 che collega la capitale dell'Azerbaigian con le più grandi città della Russia, vedrai il monte Beshbarmak, situato vicino alla costa del Mar Caspio. Beshbarmak è luogo di pellegrinaggio per la popolazione locale e grazie alla sua altezza e conformazione è stato fin dall'antichità un ottimo punto di riferimento per i naviganti. Il luogo sacro “Pir Hydyr Zundzha” si trova ai piedi del monte Beshbarmag, dove i viaggiatori si fermano per pregare e adorare. Uno dei tratti stradali più belli dell’Azerbaigian si snoda per circa 40 chilometri dall’autostrada Guba-Baku a ovest verso il villaggio di montagna di Altiaghaj. All'incirca a metà strada tra i due si attraversa una spettacolare valle fiancheggiata da ondulate montagne di scisto i cui sorprendenti turbinii rossi, arancioni, rosa e color gesso hanno portato lo scrittore di viaggi britannico Mark Elliott (autore della famosissima guida "Azerbaijan") a soprannominarli le Candy Cane Mountains, un nome che da allora è rimasto impresso tra i viaggiatori. Si dice che i colori sorprendenti siano dovuti alle acque sotterranee che hanno alterato lo stato di ossidazione dei composti del ferro all’interno della roccia.
La prossima destinazione sarà la città di Guba, che si trova in uno dei paesaggi naturali più belli dell'Azerbaigian. Sulla strada per Guba, i nostri ospiti visiteranno l'unico insediamento ebraico sulle montagne, la "Gerusalemme caucasica" - la Città Rossa. Il villaggio dispone di 13 sinagoghe, di cui due operative. Ci sono circa 4-5mila ebrei che vivono a Qirmizi Qesebe che è simbolo del pluralismo in Azerbaigian e simbolo di pace e armonia tra le diverse religioni.
Qechresh è uno dei villaggi più grandi della regione di Guba. L'area è ricoperta da foreste su tutti i lati. Qechresh è famosa per le sue sorgenti e piante naturali. Lungo la strada ci sono aree ricreative e ristoranti dove potrete assaggiare la cucina locale.

Ultimo punto del tour sarà Shahdagh Mountain Resort Complex che si trova nella città di Qusar. Possono godere lì con diverse attrazioni invernali. Ci sono attività come montagne russe, funivia, zip line e carrozze ATV.

We had such a fun trip with our guide Yusif! We visited the Candy Cane Mountains, had a great lunch in Guba, and then headed up to Shahdag which everybody needs to visit when coming to Azerbaijan. Even though it started raining a lot in the mountains, Yusif kept the trip enjoyable and made sure we didn’t miss out. He also took amazing photos of us, which made the day even more special. Highly recommend!

Candy cane mountain stop timing was ok and the mountains were beautiful, great place for insta photos. Stop at Guba shouldve been shorter, the main restaurant was bad and their food was not good at all. Toilets were not good at Guba and at the stop before jn the market! Saving the extra time spent in Guba couldve made it possible for us to try all the rides at Shadag, have better food options, shisha and enjoy the beautiful green mountains! I also bought my tickets with access to the rides and i discovered there that i have to pay for the zipline separately! I couldnt make it to the roller coaster because of the long queue at the zipline so i ended up losing tickets for 2! Toilets at the stop after Shahdag were not good, ladies cannot use them! We were lucky with the tour guide, Dianara, a very sweet girl kept us all entertained. I recommend group option as the trip is too long!

The guide is very friendly and cheerful. We spent many hours on the old mini van, which can be quite uncomfortable if you have car sickness as it is going up and down of a mountain, and it is stuffy and squeezy for 10 passengers and 1 driver to be in a mini van (I was sitting facing the opposite direction throughout the ride). Unfortunately it rained when we reached Shahdag mountain resort and had to do all the activities in the rain, and we were all wet and cold. We booked for an all inclusive tour so lunch was included. It was a big and quiet restaurant which served us very delicious food.

This trip was alot of fun. Our guide Leyla was very energetic and clear while explaining about the places. Also, the roller coaster in Shahdaq is a must 🎢
