Approfitta di un trasferimento in pullman di cortesia dal tuo hotel di Perth e goditi un viaggio rilassante lungo le spiagge settentrionali di Perth (se richiesto). In alternativa, avrete anche la possibilità di guidare da soli e usufruire del parcheggio gratuito Hillarys Boat Harbour. Il tuo tour inizia ufficialmente alle 9:00 quando effettui il check-in presso l'ufficio Rottnest Fast Ferries, prima di partire da Hillarys Boat Harbour alle 10:00 per una traversata di 45 minuti verso Rottnest Island.
All'arrivo a Rottnest Island, dirigiti alla stazione ferroviaria di Rottnest Island Settlement (evidenziata su una mappa fornitati al momento del check-in) per iniziare il tuo Grand Island Tour con un viaggio storico in treno fino a Oliver HIll. sullo storico treno Captain Hussey. Siediti e rilassati in questa esperienza ferroviaria unica mentre ti godi la vista.
All'arrivo a Oliver Hill, esplora i cannoni e i tunnel della Seconda Guerra Mondiale con una visita guidata (si prega di notare che ci sono più di 240 gradini oltre questo tour di un'ora e quindi non adatto a coloro con problemi di mobilità. I bambini non possono essere trasportati per motivi di sicurezza). Scopri la storia militare di Oliver Hill e come Rottnest Island ha avuto un ruolo nella difesa del porto di Fremantle durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Poi godetevi un pranzo leggero al sacco.
Dopo pranzo, sali a bordo di un pullman con aria condizionata per esplorare ulteriormente l'isola. - Nota bene - La parte Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels del Tour è un tour fisicamente impegnativo di 45 minuti con circa 700 metri a piedi e 240 + passi irregolari (equivalenti a una salita di 8 piani). Non ci sono aree di sosta e nessuna marcia indietro una volta dentro. Non è consentito il trasporto di bambini ad eccezione dei neonati piccoli in marsupi (che consentono all'adulto accompagnatore di avere entrambe le mani libere per le ringhiere nei tunnel). I minori di 12 anni devono essere accompagnati da un adulto. Il tour si svolge in tunnel chiusi - si prega di fare attenzione a soffitti bassi, superfici irregolari e altri pericoli di viaggio - e seguire le istruzioni della Guida in ogni momento.

I had the best time!! Greg that bus driver doing the transfers was great and on time. The island transfers were easy and hassle-free from Hillary's. Trevor our tour guide of Rottnest Island was fantastic and provided a great commentary of the island and it's history. Rottnest Island is absolutely stunning and I was so glad I made this a part of my Perth Trip.
So well organized. Ran like clockwork. From communication, pick up, ferry and tour on Rottnest it was a great day. All the guides were so knowledgeable and Fiona went above and beyond

This is a tour that is very good, but each section you need to be wary you are not with a group from start to finish of the day. The group tour starts on the island at the train station
Rodriguez was an excellent guide. He was very friendly, helpful and funny. He really took care of everybody. He made the trip so much fun and interesting.

Our day started perfectly with whale sightings on the ferry across to Rottnest Island. The train ride up to Oliver’s Mount was a great experience, and the guided tour around the guns was both fascinating and informative — our volunteer guide really brought the history to life. Lunch was simple but tasty — a wrap, a couple of biscuits, and a bottle of water — before we continued our island coach tour. The scenery was absolutely stunning, with plenty of photo stops along the way. Back at the settlement, we met the famous quokkas, which was a real highlight, and even spotted more whales on the ferry ride back to Hillarys. Our guide Leah was outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and a great photographer too! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Perth.

Very good overview of Rottnest Island history, flora and fauna and land features. Well informed guide lunch was tasty. We were provided with water and given the opportunity to use restroom facilities.
