Lasceremo Muscat per Jabal Shams, Prima di iniziare a guidare fino a Jabal Shams facciamo una sosta per vedere l'antico villaggio di Wadi Ghul vecchio 2000 anni situato ai piedi del Mountain Ghul e può essere visto sulla strada per Jabal Shams, è stato abbandonato dai suoi abitanti e nessuno è rimasto in, è stato costruito con pietre solide.
Da lì continuiamo il nostro viaggio guidando fino a Jabal Shams (Jabal Mean Mountain, Shams Mean Sun), questa strada di montagna guida fino alla Jebel Shams Mountain (Il Grand Canyon dell'Oman) 3009 metri è una delle montagne più avventurose dell'Oman, offre esperienze off-road emozionanti e panorami fantastici, raggiungiamo la vista del canyon che è di 2000 metri ci fermiamo lì e ci godiamo la vista e la foto.
Da Jabal Shams scendiamo nel Wadi Al Nakhar, Wadi Al Nakhr è molto popolare come il Grand Canyon del Medio Oriente, una vista spettacolare che deriva il suo nome dalla parola locale (necrosi), che significa il processo di scultura rupestre «erosione» poiché nel corso dei tempi si sono formate le acque di questa valle. Wadi Al Nakhar è una delle valli più profonde dell'Oman per le sue caratteristiche geografiche, il grande divario di Jabal Shams è considerato la fonte d'acqua più importante poiché la sua ampia apertura conduce a valli e scogliere che formano la valle di Al Nakhar.
Da Wadi Al Nakhar guidiamo verso Misfat Al Abriyeen. Questo pittoresco villaggio si trova su un ripido pendio ai piedi di Jebel Shams ed è composto da vecchie case e strade strette. This is an excellent tour for anyone looking to explore the area around Al Hamra. We booked it mainly to get to Jebel Shams, since most tours pair it with Nizwa, which we had already visited. We’re very glad we chose this one as both Wadi Nakhr and Misfat al Abriyyin turned out to be well worth the stops. Our guide, Ali, was extremely friendly and shared lots of knowledge about Omani culture, history, and hospitality, and we were especially impressed by his off-roading skills. Despite covering many locations, the trip felt very accessible and comfortable throughout.
